Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA leak in the toilet that needed fixing. We did eat in the restaurant and it was lovely but not enough of a selection in the restaurant for vegetarian/pescatarian.
Beautiful little bar, so relaxing. The spa was amazing. We used it almost every day. Lovely cosy bedroom and a kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The staff were great.

United KingdomFamily of 4, 2 adults, a 5 year old and a nearly 1 year old. First time going skiing with kids so we wanted to make sure it was as easy as possible. We looked at flights under 2 hours and hotel about the same. We decided Bristol to Geneva. After looking at a few accommodation options we decided to stay at Logis Gai Soleil in Samoens (https://www.logishotels.com/en/hotel/logis-hotel-gai-soleil-1214). We went for a family suite so we could make food and bottle for the baby. We also booked transfers with Alps Transfert (https://www.alpstransfert.com) to ensure we had car seats and knew what we were doing when we got there. This turned out to be a really good option because our flight was delayed by about an hour. This was no problem for the transfer and the hotel gave us a code to get our key as reception would have been closed. Our driver contacted the hotel on the way and sorted our key cards and the hotel staff met us at the apartment which was in the lodge. This made the delay a lot more bearable and made for a seamless check-in for us (it was nearly midnight and we wanted to get the kids settled). The next morning, we picked up some pastries from a bakery a short walk away from the hotel (Boulangerie Tiffanie) which had a massive selection of cakes, pastries, sandwiches, etc! 4 x croissants, 4 x pain chocolat, 4 x pain au raisin and a pain traditional cost about €18. We hadn’t booked and ski hire, ski passes or ski lessons so after breakfast we set about sorting that out. We went with ESF whose office is close to the tourist information centre (again a short walk from the hotel). We booked our 5 yo in for group lessons which were 3pm to 5pm starting that Sunday afternoon - if you want a choice of lessons, try checkyeti.com (also does ski hire). The hotel let us know about two ski hire shops by the Grand Massif Express which they had discount with. Sport experience and the other is Extreme Sport.

Elodie is fantastic as are all the staff working through meals. The place is beautiful. The little touches and decor are so authentic. It’s a proper mountain hideaway 2 mins walk from the centre and a 5 minute bus ride from the ski (10 mins walk). The pool and spa are great! Food is amazing! Half board is definitely worth it!

IrelandWould have liked to be able to book a restaurant, enjoy a few lively drinks after day of skiing
Hotel was perfect we were in a lodge which had a kitchen which came in handy due to lack of restaurants. We were able to get take away. Lovely fire in the bar where you could enjoy a few drinks after skiing. Bus right outside door that took to to ski lift but a lovely walk if you missed the bus.

United KingdomThere is an EV charger but no control over who parks in front of it so we weren’t able to use it in two days. There are faster chargers nearby in the village so not a big issue but a missed opportunity. Our heated towel rail didn’t work and there was a lot of black mould in the bathroom. We’d just finished walking the TMB and fancied a bath as there is one in the bathroom but the maximum temperature from the hot tap is pretty tepid and the bath is short so it wasn’t a relaxing experience.
Great location in the village. Lovely staff. Great views across the valley. Very good cocktails. Comfortable bed. Great Wi-Fi. The corner kitchen in the room is a good idea although we didn’t need to use it.

United KingdomCurtains in bedroom completely inadequate, but there are shutters so no big deal unless you want to leave window/door to balcony open.
Summer stay. Quaint hotel, ideally located in the heart of the town. Room was small, but bed comfy and pillows lovely. Balcony for two people a nice touch. The pool is small, but great for a refreshing dip and the jacuzzi is excellent. Lovely garden to relax in. Staff are just amazing; so helpful and friendly. Electric car charger (fast 3 phase)...pricey, but a God send in this mountain location, saves travelling back to sallanches. Didn't eat so can't comment, but menu and dining room looks fab. Outdoor dining possible.
