We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Too expensive - not good value for money. Pool is smaller than it looks in photos. We had teenagers with us so it didn’t suite them. Good for younger kids though. Location is a bit too far out of the way. Long walk to only a couple of restaurants nearby. Room had no air con so was very hot in august.

Verified reviewHôtel Les Vignes de la Chapelle is a great location on the il Du Re tucked away in a quite and pleasant corner of the island but offering easy access to the main tourist points. The pool was an nice size with comfortable sunbeds and deck chairs and enjoyed the sun for all of the day. The spa though we didn't use it was spacious and well equipped

The reception area/sitting area closed at 9pm, so not possible to use the comfortable reading space. parking costs inside as well as renting bikes was very expensive.

This isn't a hotel. They asked for a deposit for the room in addition to the fee, housekeeping woke us up on the saturday morning and never came back, there are rules for everything, and everything comes at an expensive additional fee. Note, we wanted to rent some bikes they have onsite, they asked for a EUR400 deposit on top of everything. They say "guest wellbeing is our priority" but unfortunately it did not feel like this at all. A shame as this place with its set up and location could be so much nicer.

The fact that there was no restaurant on site, nor, indeed, anywhere within walking distance. This meant that we had to drive (not very ecological) to a town 7 or 8 kms away.

Our gourmet breakfast, prepared with local, organic and homemade products, also seems to have won your taste buds over! As far as the restaurant is concerned, we understand your comment. We do indeed offer tasty aperitif platters as well as takeaway dishes in a variety of jars, prepared by a small local workshop. There are three restaurants within a 15-minute walk of the hotel, and another thirty or so within a 20-minute cycle. As the island of Ré is a cyclist's paradise, we provide bicycles to enable our guests to discover the island's gastronomic treasures while respecting its unspoilt environment. Price of the breakfast 18 euros for a continetal breakfast very expensive, although very nicely laid out and good selection. We were lead to believe that the car parking was 6 euros and in fact it was 15 per night !! We had to pay a 200 euro deposit for the room , Iv never paid that before even in a top hotel in London!! I don't expect to pay a deposit that is more than the cost of the room. not for one night anyway.

Verified reviewWe booked a duplex room for a family of 4 and it was a good size, very nice, very clean, everything you want for a family. The pool is large enough and well maintained. Overall the hotel leaves a well maintained, clean impression. It is located on the quiet side of a quiet town next to a vineyard.
You have to pay extra for trivial things, like parking and (if you're not staying in a duplex) plates and kitchen utensils. Especially the €40 per day for a parking space for charging (Tesla charger) seemed extortionate. You can just park on the street in front of the hotel and charge your car in lots of places on the island. The hotel doesn't really have a restaurant, but they offer breakfast and something from a deli for supper. We just ate out.

As you point out, our spacious, comfortable rooms have been designed to offer you a cosy, welcoming cocoon after a fine day out walking the island's trails. Parking is available at an additional cost of 15 euros (40 euros for a space with a charging point, which is modest compared with the high cost of charging a Tesla, which is much more than the 25 euro difference), as in most of the island's establishments. It has the advantage of being private and secured by a digicode, and we remain convinced that this offer remains a real advantage and contributes to a serene stay. V friendly staff, low key, simple but all you could need, all amenities, pedal bikes to hire on site and lovely and quiet. Breakfast was spot on - variety and lovely open room. €15 to park in gated area but some places outside.
Really nothing to dislike. We cycled easily to La Flotte in the evenings but a wee way if you’re not fit. Shelf on headboard is a design fault but hardly a “thing”. Some normal tea bags and some UHT milk would have been much appreciated in the room pack but again, really minor.
