How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewDecently sized room with a good ambiance. Bathroom a bit outdated, but still OK. Breakfast option comprehensive enough.
When the few parking spots of the hotel are taken, parking can be a bit of a nightmare

Verified reviewThe position of Les Sapins is excellent, an easy walk into the town. Lovely alpine decor and atmosphere- all very clean and cheerful.
Our Bathroom was very tired and outdated. The shower (over the bath) was very difficult to adjust with a damaged bath/shower handle. The separate toilet had no extractor fan and is in need of an upgrade.

Verified reviewGreat location and stunning views from the front facing rooms of the mountains . Staff friendly and helpful, good breakfast!
Rooms are a bit small and dated , however this was a last minute booking so I didn’t have a lot of choice, would benefit from a kettle a fridge

Verified reviewI loved everything about this hotel - it truly was a home away from home. More and more hotels these days are going for minimalistic, modern decor, so it was a breath of fresh air to stay somewhere that felt genuinely comfortable and homey, but still ultra clean with all the amenities you would expect to find at a more modern hotel. The bed was amazingly comfy, and the hotel went out of its way to provide wonderful service. I travelled with a large group and between us, we had two large vans and two smaller mini-vans, and the hotel went out of its way to ensure we checked in easily (even though it was after check-in hours) and parked securely. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, I would love to return for leisure so I can enjoy the town and scenery more.
The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer.

Verified reviewGreat location. A few minutes walk from the bus station and all the restaurants and shops. Very close to several télécabine stations and slopes. Amazing view of the mountain from the balcony. The rooms are very cosy. The shower was good with high water pressure. The lift in the hotel is very handy for luggages. Staff are very friendly.
The pillows are really uncomfortable, with very thin and lumpy fillings that have no support at all. The toilet papers are not toilet rolls, but very thin small tissues. The hairdryer is quite outdated (a tube fixed on the wall) and difficult to use, as it has very low power (so taking longer to dry hair) but the tube gets too hot to hold quickly.

Verified reviewHotel was in a perfect location to ski in and out as well as being within walking distance of restaurants, bars, small supermarkets etc Full board was super handy with plenty of variety, fresh ingredients and tasty courses. Staff were excellent, so caring and kind. Always smiling and nothing seemed to be a problem for them. The ski boot room was easily accessible. We asked for a balcony and were able to sit out during the day watching the skiers below in the sunshine. The hotel is super quiet and we had an excellent sleep every night.
The hotel could use some modern updates throughout. It has a very homely feel and is very clean but some areas are tired. We especially felt our bathroom could be updated.
Dear Leeanne, thank you for your wonderful comment. We hope you enjoy your stay here and had a safe way back. Best regards, Manon

Verified reviewGreat ski-in, ski-out location. Nice decor and atmosphere. Helpful staff. Nice bar area.
Generally very good. Breakfast was ok but not great - better eggs would have been good. Ski storage is slightly separate from the hotel but not a big issue. If you get the public bus to the town, you have to walk up the hill a little to reach the hotel.

Had to change rooms to have a room with a balcony for whole stay, although a balcony was confirmed at time of booking so we was a little disappointed although room change went smoothly.

Verified reviewLocation to village was excellent, ski in ski out! fantastic! hotel and staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel could do with a little touch up in places, steam room and jacuzzi were great but again need a little attention, as with the rooms. Food was first class, we had the half board and could not fault any meal we had. Overall great value for the three stars :) bit of investment could see this hotel reaching 4/5 starts.
Rooms could do a bit of attention & investment.
Dear Dean, many thanks for your comment. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us. Best regards, Manon

Verified reviewLovely comfortable room looking onto the nursery slope, great breakfast with loads of choice. The hotel is ski in and ski out with the ski lockers being adjacent the run. There’s a cosy, relaxing lounge with a log fire and fabulous views of the mountain. The restaurant served delicious local, traditional meals and had a good choice of wines. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and looked after us very well.
Nothing.
Dear Sharon, thank you for choosing our hotel. It was a pleasure to welcome you during your stay. We hope you have had a safe trip back to Great Britain. We look forward to seeing you soon! Manon
