How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewWe have been comming on holiday to Menton for a number of years and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The balcony overlooking the beach and sea was fantastic. The apartment was well equipped and had every thing we needed for our stay. The air con was very efficient and the blinds great to block out any light. Across the road was the swimming pool and small gym as well as a sauna.
There wasnt really anything we didn't like. It would have been good to have an inventory so guests know what is provided. The road got quite busy but that didn't bother us.

Having to use Pass Pass Mini App and not getting access code until 5.00pm. Apt in need of repair. Balcony door couldn't be secured. Issues with stench of raw sewage when toilets were flushed. Pool unheated, rundown and generally very uninviting. Owner needs to provide adequate quantity of cutlery and dishes for the number of guests.
Hello Margaret, We have read your review with some surprise and would like to provide a few clarifications. Your arrival was scheduled for 5 PM, as indicated when you made your reservation several months in advance. Multiple automatic reminders were sent to you regarding this time. It was, of course, possible to choose an early check-in option for an additional fee, which allows our cleaning staff to prioritize your apartment. This option was not selected. Regarding the condition of the accommodation, the apartment was recently renovated: all the air conditioning units are new, including those in the bathrooms. The sliding glass door in the living room works perfectly and has been tested several times by other guests without any issues. You mentioned a smell in the apartment. We did not notice anything unusual during our visits, but out of caution, we immediately informed the building management to check the common areas. Concerning the pool, as clearly stated in the listing, it is not heated. We acknowledge that the pool needs repairs, which are scheduled by the building management for 2026. Since the pool is a communal facility, it is not our responsibility and does not reflect the quality of our apartment. Regarding the equipment, the apartment is well stocked with several cups, glasses, and cutlery. You mentioned that the coffee machine was not working, but it is new and fully functional. No problems were detected during our inspections. As the majority of reviews we receive attest, our guests appreciate the quality, cleanliness of the apartment, and our responsiveness. This is why we were particularly surprised by your remarks, which do not reflect our commitment or the usual experience in our accommodation. We regret that we were unable to discuss these points during your stay, as we are always available to address any concerns promptly. Verified reviewIt is in a beautiful location overlooking the promenade and the sea. The balcony is great for people watching. The living room is bright and airy. We stayed for three weeks in January and February the weather was lovely. Menton is well situated for walking. Don’t miss the Friday market in Ventimiglia.

Verified reviewWe really appreciated the expresso coffee pods and the gift of a bottle of wine. The apartment was beautiful and spacious, with a gorgeous view of the ocean. I could even see the moon shining on the water while in bed one night! It was just a quick walk to the old town and other lovely beaches.
It was fairly noisy at times on the balcony due to the traffic noise from the road below, especially the motorcycles. The pool wasn't very easy to access from the apartment, as it was in a different building across a little street.

Verified reviewWe had the most wonderful time during our stay in Menton at this property. It is a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location--close to the water and beaches, lots of restaurants, groceries, the train, and much more. The lovely deck overlooks the beaches, and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the people and enjoying the view. It was great to have a parking space in the garage. Remy is an exceptional host. He was very attentive, and he even brought us a bottle of wine to welcome us. I highly recommend this property. It has everything.
Check in was a little confusing. However, Remy was very responsive in helping us figure it out.
