Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Austriano AC in the room
Free-parking, friendly staff (we arrived at night many hours later due to traffic), very dog-friendly. We just stayed there for one night and it was absolutely fine. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The price was low so we can't complain about anything either. We wouldn't choose this hotel for a long stay but for a short time it's very recommendable.

Nice hotel. Great location for a quick stop as close to the motorway. There is a beautiful park nearby and some windmills. Good food at the restaurant and nice breakfast.

United KingdomIt was snowing so very icy they didn't put salt, especially at the entrance of the parking and to go to the reception. I knew that the restaurant was closed but this was sad, especially on a weekend. Saying that there are shops around.
Breakfast was great, lots to eat. They have chairs for little ones. The price is good compared to others. The bedding is clean and comfortable, they even have a new foam pillow that you can buy. The heat was adaptable and that was great. The bedroom was simple but filled with plugs, areas to fold your clothes, and enough hangers that were thoughtful (We were there for 2 nights). My husband went on a walk around the hotel and he liked it, he was happy. We will come back if we are in the area.

United KingdomHotel Kyriad offers a stellar experience, especially for those in transit. It’s the perfect place for a restful stay. The staff is commendable, with Guilain standing out for his exceptional friendliness and assistance. To top it all off, the breakfast is fantastic. Highly recommended!

NetherlandsRooms are very small. The carpet had several big stains. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant is closed for dinner on the weekends.
The building is old but the rooms are renovated and although small there is everything you need including coffee & tea. Breakfast was good, quite a lot of choice, juicer available for fresh o.j., even a frozen yogurt machine. Location is a bit strange in the middle of some kind of (start up) business park but around the corner there is a very large and beautiful park with a modern art museum and 20 min walk to the small château. Great if you have a dog with you, we walked for 2 hrs. There is a nice Italian restaurant, Leocorno, in walking distance.

Saudi ArabiaAs two women staying overnight at this hotel. There was one concierge who overstepped and made me feel very uncomfortable. Then calling the room late at night. It was odd and scary. Made me feel very comfortable based on the fact he told me I was beautiful when checking in - extremely in appropriate. All other staff were totally wonderful. I feel bad for this bad review because of one person. Everyone else was absolutely lovely.
Loved the location. Parc du heron is beautiful and you must visit the museum of modern art walking distance. Room very tired and old but ok at best

United KingdomThe hotel restaurant was not open at the weekend. It was not easy access on foot to the rugby stadium or back in to Lille. It was advertised as being in an area with bars restaurants and cafes. It is not. We spent a lot of time in taxis. Although I liked the hotel I would not book it again for a rugby match at Stade Pierre Mauroy. I would book in the city centre.
Staff were excellent, breakfast good, room small but ok. No restaurant at weekend was not good. Advertised as easy access to Stade Pierre Mauroy and Lille but although both walkable were both over an hour away. Subway was 40 min walk away although there were buses at the hotel entrance. Also shops and restaurants were advertises as being close but there were no shops and there were only 2 places open for food, although the middle age bikers bar /restaurant was excellent.

United KingdomHotel backs on to a disused car park which "boy racers" use in the evening after dark. Crazy amount of noise. Room for 3 was so small, no space around the 2 single beds and 3rd bed is built into the roof with dangerous ladder access. Shower is in over bath type. Breakfast offering very limited.
Staff were great,

United KingdomThe hotel is a little dated. The hotel was very noisy on our first night with some loud talking and what sounded like a door slamming. This did not happen so much on the second night.
It was a very convenient location, near to the Stadium for the Rugby World Cup Games. The staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable and additional pillows were provided.

United KingdomLOTS! Stayed here on a International Rugby weekend, so hotel very busy. I paid a lot of money for 5 hotel rooms for family and friends. The guy who maned the bar and reception in the evenings was unhelpful at best and scruffy. On first night, no sauvignon, no gin, no vodka. Restaurant closed both nights. Why would the hotel not gear up when you have a high occupancy? Order in plenty of drink, staff and open the restaurant! Bedrooms small and tired. Not unclean, but felt grubby. Bed uncomfortable and narrow. A hotel I never want to visit again. The only positive, most staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was ok.
