Incredible hotel in a beautiful location with wonderful views. Helpful friendly staff throughout the hotel. Loved the outdoor pool and bar area, very comfortable loungers to relax and enjoy the view. Comfortable rooms, good food, everything was great. We hope to return in the future, it was everything I hoped it would be, and more!

    There was nothing to dislike!

Location of the hotel is unparalleled. It sits high up overlooking the village of Bormes-Les-Mimosa and further towards the bay of Le LavandouThe Hotel optimize on this with virtue, all the rooms being sea facing, some with small Juliet balconies mostly on the fourth floor and a rooftop pool, but you’d have to go a long way to beat.

We have stayed in this hotel twice before. In the past, everything was exemplary. This year, however the standard of the waiting staff was very poor. Whenever you try to get their attention whether to order or do anything else, they simply walked past and ignored you normally with a sour face. They were clearly very poorly, trained and possibly very idle. The singular exception to this was one waitress, Claire, t was both extremely helpful and professional and friendly.

Beautiful historic hotel, excellent staff and a spectacular location and views. Room was very comfortable and breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were both good.

Just our luck to pick a day to stay when the weather was untypically appalling so weren't able to enjoy the terraces and the views to the full!

The property is beautiful and has an interesting history. Apparently it was a military hospital during g WWII. It was recently renovated in the past few years and the location is top for enjoying the village down the hill.

We had trouble making a dinner reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was full however the village had a great Italian place we enjoyed so all was well. When we did dine for breakfast the selection we good and the service outstanding! The woman running the show was so attentive to everyone and made the experience wonderful.

    I liked only the Staff

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL - Beautiful Online, But a 2-Star Reality – NEVER AGAIN! My family and I stayed at Eden Rose Grand Hôtel, Bormes-les-Mimosas, from August 6–11, 2024, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel looks gorgeous on its website, but in reality, it’s more like a 2-star establishment. As a single parent with two children, I booked a family room so we could all stay together, but due to a booking error by the hotel staff, we were split into two different rooms. This caused me so much stress as my children were in a separate room in a foreign country. We were moved three times during our 5-night stay, which made the whole experience even more stressful and unenjoyable. When I raised my concerns with the management, they said the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t accommodate us in one room. To make things worse, my daughter’s room smelled like stool. After bringing this to the staff's attention, we were moved again, and on the last night, we ended up in a top-floor room (I believe it was room 502), where the air conditioning didn’t work properly, and the mattresses were hard as rocks, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The pool, which we had looked forward to, was too warm to enjoy because of the hot weather, adding to our disappointment. For the 5-night stay, we paid $3,520.80. Management promised a €1,400 refund due to the issues, but despite sending multiple emails, I still haven’t received it. The only positive aspect was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, who were top-notch. However, this couldn’t make up for the fact that this hotel is truly subpar and belongs in a 2-star category. We will never book here again.

Excellent staff, better than most Best Western properties in the US. Got recommended to an excellent and reasonably priced Italian restaurant Le Terrace with an elevated terrace within walking distance of the hotel and across the street from Hotel Bellevue which I recommend for drinks ony.

Get a room on the 3rd or 4th floor to avoid late noise on the terrace.

Spectacular views and a historic hotel that's been given a fresh, contemporary update

I loved lounging by the pool, but there wasn't enough shade and it was very exposed. The main terrace could have also benefitted by a shady area. The existing sun shades allow light through.

the hotel, the view, the village, the beds

We had to change rooms twice. We asked for a quiet room but were given the first room 5 steps away from reception, the 2nd was opposite the door to the pool where there was a wedding party on Friday night which we were not part of and they could not tell us the finish time so we asked to move again. A few logistical requests (taxi, hairdressers etc) required a few calls to triple check with different members of staff because some appeared helpful but were at times a bit sleepy or unfocused. The spa was not very comfortable. The massages really great but the actual relaxation area around the jacuzzi steam/ sauna were very poor with low uncomfortable beds or chairs. You could not lie in a bed after the massage only a chair and they were very strict about this and yet the beds were not occupied. The Spa team on reception were brusque and obsessed with taking a room number and not allowing guests in when in fact other people had made bookings but not shown up. They didn't seem to be able to check with the guests or ask the main reception to double check. They were fussy with robes too even though we were guests. The Spa and out door pool area had sarongs instead of towels which were cheap and did not dry. The pool lounging / tables/ towels etc all needs to be of better quality for such a nice hotel and the areas tidied and refreshed regularly each day. It is a lovely hotel and there are some fantastic staff. The Spa and the hotel just need a little more proactive and dynamic 'can do' approach.
