You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our first room was awful, there was a smell of damp and black mold over the shower. To add to this there was a banging noise from the air-conditioning that went off once a minute overnight. In fairness we were offered a new room the next day, but unfortunately neither my wife or I slept a wink the night before, nor were we offered a refund for the first night in the awful room.

Verified reviewThe staff were welcoming and friendly upon arrival, and someone showed us to our room; the barman at the pool was also pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The location is perfect if you arrive/leave by train.
The hotel doesn't feel 4*. The old building is really beautiful but unloved. Simple changes could make it much nicer. For example, the furniture is all very dated and cheap, like it came from an office supplier. The only decor on the walls are what look like Aztec rugs - completely out of place. And there are tacky laminated notices everywhere. I didn't spot it when booking but if you look at the first photograph of the swimming pool, it has clearly been photoshopped - presumably to hide the stain around the edge! This hotel could be really beautiful; they need to hire an interior designer.

Verified reviewWe stayed in a room at the top with 3 circular windows and a small openable skylight above the bed and it was very quaint. The pool had a lovely sunset and was perfect after a day exploring. The main courtyard at the hotel was very pretty too and it was really easy to get there from the train station.
You just have to be careful not to bang your head on the way into the room as the ceiling is low.

Room 14 .is very noisy you can hear the water running in the pool above. It also feels like locked into a cellar. No seating outside for hotel guests to enjoy the evening. No fitness room.

Outdated furniture from the eighties. The swimming pool is on the rooftop, is tiny, and was a big disappointment. Air conditioning was very loud, we had to turn it off to be able to sleep. Staff was young and very unprofessional (gave wrong information, not able to help, etc.).

Staff not friendly, try to be but simply their reaction like they are forced to help you or answer your questions. Rooms are old and poor, no electricity outlet near the bed. Shower ceiling very low, that your head pumps in the ceiling and its dirty. No way no way 4 stars hotel, any 2-3 stars hotel experience i had was wayyyy much better. I thought for price i'm paying I will get something decent, but absolutely not.

The hotel is in 2 parts. Old and modern. Modern looked good. The other part is not user-friendly and pretty aulful. Old Plumbing the air con is very noisy, really awkward getting to the room and I am sure the lift is not legal . The car park ground is awful to try and move case wheels over and your car gets messed up. Sorry to be negative but I was not aware that there were options to book the mordon part . Very disappointed.

Room was quite dark and and a little oppressive. Bathroom and toilet areas felt cramped. Heavy fire doors made it difficult to move in and out of the room. Breakfast room was rather crowded.

Minor comments: dinner menu could have been better (but obviously no problem finding excellent restaurants in Avignon), rooftop terrace was a bit noisy.
