Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomShort of staff in the evening - only 1 member of staff to do everything. He was lovely but way overstretched. They no longer have an evening meal available which is what we had originally booked - the cold platter we had was nice but we would have preferred a meal. Breakfast is nice but overpriced
Beautiful building in a very peaceful location Good breakfast Well decorated room with lovely comfortable mattress and pillows Very clean Nice grounds

United KingdomAs a group we had booked to eat in the restaurant after driving for 9 hours. Less than an hour before our arrival we received a text to say the chef had resigned and that there was a restaurant nearby we could go to. This would have meant driving again, so we were eventually offered meat and cheese sharing platters at the hotel. On arrival there was confusion over which rooms we had or hadn’t paid for. Luckily I had proof on my Booking.Com app that we had paid for them all. When we went to breakfast at 9am the tables still had our dirty wine and beer glasses on the table. If they can improve the customer service this would be the perfect place to stay.
The Chateau was beautiful with lovely gardens. Beds were comfortable, fresh and clean.

United KingdomThere is nothing not to like about this property
We loved the quiet location. The accommodation is very clean and fresh. Housekeeping is also very good and the staff are super friendly. Next time we are in this area and looking for accommodation, this will be our first choice. The breakfast left us not wanting to eat for the rest of the day. We were so full.

United KingdomNo problems other than the hot food wasn’t, all staff were very friendly and helpful.I will definitely go back, there was nothing not to like .
It was fantastic what a wonderful hotel, only open a year I believe. Our room was as described, and did not disappoint, my partner was so pleased that the bathrobes fit as he over 6 foot !!!We had dinner there and it was fabulous, we arrived late in the day and took note from other visitors that there was not any restaurants nearby so booked dinner in advance.Breakfast was excellent it was an option via Booking.com and worth the price the only criticism was that the hot food wasn’t!! It was on a hot plate but the heating element was out ( wax tablets I believe) so the bacon and scrambled eggs was cold! All other foods were delicious a good variety of cold meats cheeses croissants etc… Great location for the Somme and WW1/WW2 locations and the Opal Coast.

United KingdomUnfortunately, there was an issue with the hot water in the room. It seemed when you had one bath in the morning there was no hot water available for the rest of the day. We tried to contact staff through the phone on numerous occasions but no one answered. The water was tepid warm. The breakfast is not worth 20 euros per person, it was lovely, but the variety of food on offer, was limited compared to other French places we have stayed at. The staff at the hotel do not speak English. We tried to communicate through Google Translator but you felt the staff were getting annoyed with this or did not appear to be helpful. Considering we stayed for five nights there was no interaction from staff to check on us. I felt staying for the length of time we did, they could have offered a free breakfast or free time in the chargeable jacuzzi area.
The location is beautiful. If you want peace and quiet in a rural, French village, this is the place for you! The hotel is surrounded by agriculture and has no shops. The room was comfortable and well designed for the modern traveller. The village is accessible to many sites around the area, in particular, accessing the Somme region for the battlefields.
