Could not have been better. We only stayed one night, but if you wanted to have a week or longer, you could. The host was excellent. Parking easy. Breakfast very nice. A great way to start our holiday.

Not many dinner options nearby, although a local campsite restaurant was good for families.

Beautiful countryside location, large apartment with bedroom set up for children and cot provided. We were very well looked after by our host, especially at breakfast which included juice and coffee/hot chocolate, croissant, egg, bread and cheese. We found it ideal for stopping off after crossing the Channel and exploring the Calais and Gravelines area.

The room was rather dark and chilly as if it was in a basement and the bed was a good size, although the bedding was heavy and not particularly comfortable

This is a beautiful property with a helpful host and it is very well placed being half an hour from Calais and the Channel Tunnel. The room was spacious with good facilities. The breakfast was very good.

Lovely, quaint, little room in the grounds of this amazing château. Typical french decor - really quirky! Tea/coffee making facilities. Clean room with plenty of chairs and comfy bed. Sat in the chateau gardens for breakfast.

A charming and quirky place to stay just outside Calais, which was just what we wanted after a long drive to Folkestone to catch the shuttle. The breakfast was very good.

Beautiful traditional Chambre D'hote and Agnes was very welcoming and our room very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with homemade jams, cheese, croissants and fresh bread.

Perfect little French hideaway. Typical French B And B .. arrived on a very hot day. The room has no air-conditioning but was lovely and cool inside. Comfortable bed. Host speaks a little English and very friendly. Breakfast was in the main house. Homemade Fig jam very tasty. Lots of history with the building. Look out to the ww2 bomb.

Lovely house and grounds, beautiful room and location, excellent breakfast, charming hostess. All this plus a suitably aloof and aristocratic cat: just the ideal place to stop over on the way into the continent.

I can't think of any change I'd want to make - I am quite elderly and was welcomed and helped from start to finish by a charming hostess.

Convenient location for those about to cross the Channel (or having just done so). Quiet rural surroundings and a property of character and charm with a lovely garden. Within easy reach of the shops and restaurants in Ardres. Attractively presented breakfast which I was able to enjoy in the garden. My room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely outlook.

Strict check in times, a bit inflexible but we managed ok.

I don't think this address could easily be improved upon as a jumping-off point before or after crossing the Channel. Quiet village situation in a property of character, away from the busier town of Ardres but within easy reach of its shops and restaurants if you need them. If thinking about dinner, Ardres restaurants do seem to come and go, so it may be as well to check by telephone rather than rely on the list in your room.

Delicious, generous breakfast served in the garden with lovely pink roses in their box-bordered bed alongside. My room was charming and characterful - oeil de boeuf windows overlooking the orchard, comfortable armchair and nice desk. Landlady is kindly and helpful and is a person of creative flair.
