Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike about the property or our hosts.
Brigitte and Fabrice were perfect hosts. They welcomed us on our arrival, and were very helpful. The property is well equipped and was a good base for exploring the WW1 battlefield areas from the Somme right up to Ieper. They were very helpful and also very proud of their home, the chambres d'hote rooms and the gite. The location overlooking the beautiful lakes is so attractive.

United KingdomBrigitte and her husband were very friendly and super-attentive hosts. Because our car broke down we arrived at 1am but they stayed up without hesitation to check us in. They provided a superb breakfast too which they didn't need to do. The accommodation was sparkling clean and fresh and very comfortable and well-equipped. The site is beautiful with lakes and lawns.

United KingdomHad a bit of a problem with the WiFi but not essential for a few days trip. Double bed mattress a bit in the hard side for me but again the beautiful setting of the accommodation more than compensated.
Beautiful gardens, well equipped house, lovely owners. Bike storage.

United KingdomA superb French home with lots to commend for a small family seeking comfort and atmosphere. Nothing we would complain about.
The view from the accom was as described calm and beautifully quiet, even with the train regularly passing nearby, often masked by the sound of the rustling poplar trees and abundance of birds and wildlife - simply amazing! We saw kingfishers and herons as well as the geese every day. We just loved the location to visit all the key WW1 places not far away. We had a simply amazing 5 days leaving things to do for next time - there is so much to take in.

United KingdomNothing - everything was great.
We really fell in love with this property and its location. The house is a detached, two bedroom place with an open plan sitting room, dining room and a compact kitchen. There is a large bathroom with a WC plus a second separate WC. The rooms are all of a very nice size and the layout is lovely with a double bedroom at each end of the house with the bathroom in between. There are electric shutters fitted on every window, which kept the house cool in the very hot weather we had. There is an enormous retractable canopy that covered the whole patio and this allowed us to sit using the outside furniture either in the sun or in the shade. There is everything you could think of and it is a really comfy home from home. The fixtures and fittings are of good quality, including two reclining arm chairs and a two seater sofa and again each seat reclined. The owners, Brigitte and Fabrice were really friendly, helpful and were available when we needed information. The view from the front of the house was to die for - it was picturesque and peaceful. We saw a variety of water fowl, including two beautiful herons who flew past us to land in the grounds not far away. It was just wonderful and if I could give it 11 out of 10, I would! The location was easy to find on Google maps and isn’t far from a variety of interesting places. Albert, the local town, has a hypermarket, petrol station, a great WW1 underground museum as well as some nice shops, cafés and restaurants. All in all a great find.

United Kingdomstunning little gem hidden in the countryside surrounded by lakes and trees. The owners are lovely and welcoming and gave us permission to wander around the grounds. lovely property nice and modern and clean. All amenities including a washer and direct parking next to it. glass sliding doors all around the lounge area made it lovely when the sun came out to let the breeze and warmth in. Not far from the local town with shops and access through fob key gates to come and go whenever you like. would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing retreat.
