How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No air-conditioning is a huge bummer during the summer, room gets very hot. A fan was provided, but the room gets stuffy. We couldn't leave the window either as there are no insect nets. Additionally the traffic outside is quite loud if you leave the window open. Overall I would say the hotel was okay, but the lack of air conditioning really killed us.
Breakfast was nice, staff was excellent, the bacon was fantastic.

However cleaning was done only once a week and towels not changed
Room was clean and spacing was good Kitchen had all facilities and utensils Bed was quite comfortable

When entered the room it was veeeery cold. The radiator in the bathroom didn't work at all which was not ok for a shower in the middle of winter. Also the radiator in the room way too small and took all night to warm up a bit still was cold in the room.

Room smelt of cigarettes even though it was no smoking
It worked for us as our relative lived nearby . Studio room was good especially having a small kitchen area

The bathroom was full of someone else’s hair and there were many stains on the ceiling - not sure the room was cleaned properly. Also, the Tesla charger was broken, which is one of the main reasons we wanted to stay here…

Although it is on the border with Switzerland, the price is too high for what the hotel offers. The rooms are clean but not cozy I don't recommend it..

We booked accommodation for six people (three adults, a teenager and two kids under ten). The apartment had two queen-sized beds (200x180cm). Luckily, only five of us came since otherwise there would not be enough place to sleep comfortably.
The apartment was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and two toilets. Free table tennis and football tables were a nice touch too for the kids.

Leak in the bathroom and key to the room kept locking/would not work so had to get the card key working again by staff in reception. Could do with a cloth to clean the kitchenette.
Clean, Staff were friendly good location for catching up with friends.

The internet access is abysmal, despite a strong wifi signal. The room is a bit on the cold side, due to mandated energy economies (18.5°C). Didn't bother me much as I was just sleeping..
Very large room, bath even had a tub. Kitchen is small but functional. The breakfast buffet isn't exceptional, but has most of everything needed

The air conditioning was not working. A stand-up oscillating fan was in place. A bit closed room smell.
Beautiful location. Ample room with almost all the facilities (A/C) not working.

Expensive and small choice for breakfast, no air conditioner (it was 40C!!!), one small ventilator which didn’t help (our dogs almost died in this heat indoors).

No air conditioning in the room, it was terribly hot. I have requested a cot on my reservation and there was no availability.

The Tesla charger was out of order, which was one of the reason we picked this hotel, and the restaurant attached to the hotel (LEON) was shockingly bad - we were informed that only three things on the menu were actually available because of kitchen problems, then we waited almost two hours for our order, after which on dish didn't arrive at all, and we were given a "generous" 10% discount for our troubles, which we found out later was just the standard discount for guests staying in the hotel. Outrageous.
The room was a great size, with an independent kitchenette (although we had to turn the fridge off because it was too noisy!). The beds were comfortable too.
