A lovely property in a nice, quiet village. The owners, Bart & Karin, were super friendly, very good company and an absolute mine of interesting information and anecdotes. The room was basic but very comfortable and perfect for my needs. Parking onsite, a lovely garden to relax in with a beer and great food - what more could you ask for!

    Nothing, everything was perfect.

We had a great stay at 14-18 Somme Chambres. The highlight was the 1/2 day guided tour with Bart who did a lot of research beforehand to help me understand where my great uncle had fought and died. Would definitely recommend.

It was a real home from home. Karen and Bart were so friendly and helpful. It was lovely to sit and chat with them and others in the house. Their knowledge of the WW1 history and the area was amazing and Bart was brilliant at finding information about my family history. A very special stay, thank you.

Bart & Karen where so nice, kind, knowledgeable. From the daily breakfast to a delicious supper each evening. Went on a guided tour with Bart & he was so awesome in driving me and showing me what happened at the Battle of the Somme! One evening Karen helped me to track down info regarding my late Aunt from Scotland. Cool. Finally, the morning I left Bart went out of his way to give me a lift back to the Albert train station!

Karen and Bart were very friendly, helpful, humorous and knowledgeable hosts. Genuine interest in the story of my Great Uncle, missing in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme 1916. I learnt a lot on my brief visit and remain grateful, a lot more than just a place to stay.

Bart and Karen have created a beautiful spot for travellers to find rest and comfort on their journey through the Somme area. Always up for a chat and providing incredible wisdom on the region (including its long history), they both made our stay very special. Could not recommend enough and we hope to be back soon. Thank you Karen and Bart for giving us a home away from home

Location worked great for a visit to Somme battlefields, owners made everyone fill welcome and provided everything needed. We paid for the dinner in the evening which was very good and could purchase drinks as needed.. Host gave great information on the battle of the Somme and places to visit in the area.. He also does battlefield tours which we will use next time we visit Its a 10 out of 10 from this group of 3 who all enjoyed the visit

    No real issues for stay

If you visiting this part if France, then it is likely that you have an interest in WWI ~ therefore I thoroughly recommend staying at “14-18 Somme Chambres”. It is an excellent location for WWI history and one of your hosts, Bart, is a living encyclopedia on the subject. I stayed with Bart and Karen at 14-18 Somme Chambres for one night and was welcomed like a long lost relative into their wonderful accommodation. I enjoyed a great breakfast and dinner with them and in the evening spent time with them and a couple of other guests out in the garden. Karen is a gem; she went above and beyond to help me break through a language barrier to sort out a logistical issue I had prior to my visit ~ I remain thankful for that. Indeed, make 14-18 Somme Chambres part of your Somme itinerary, you will not be disappointed.
