Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe beach front balcony doors/screens understandably are open to the elements but they really do need updating, it was a struggle to open them at times. It's a little overwhelming on arrival being offered to purchase the meal plans available especially a first time guest and not knowing the prices etc in the restaurants and bars, what's included/excluded in the plans. Perhaps guests could be given 12-24 hours to decide their options in greater detail. A 3% credit card surcharge when this is a cashless resort can soon add up! Especially when adding the cost of accommodation plus food/drinks for the duration of your stay.
Throughout the whole resort the staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. The Vahuvu adult-only pool, bar and restaurant is a great place for adults to chill and sunbathe. Susie was always very welcoming. The butler service is a wonderful idea and very well organised, we loved it. Shout out to Maria who took such great care of us during our stay, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you Maria 😊 We loved the Takia On The Go Coffee Shop, Ateka is fantastic, very attentive, remembered our names, orders, chatty and welcoming. Housekeeping was prompt, every day our room was cleaned early and to a high standard. Livia was incredibly hard-working; it was always a pleasure to return to our room after Livia had worked her magic and she never missed anything. Very much appreciated. Lots of choice in all the restaurants, food of a high quality as are drinks and cocktails too. The Kalo Kalo Bar is stunning with magnificent views and great service, we loved it. The gardens, buildings and the feel of the whole resort are so picturesque, never tired of the views from the moment we arrived, its stunning.

AustraliaWe just got back from the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, and it was such a wonderful experience for our family. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with the biggest smiles and genuine warmth we truly felt like part of the family. The resort is stunning, with lush gardens and a gorgeous beach and lagoon where we spent afternoons kayaking and snorkeling. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and my son absolutely loved the pool and daily activities there. We especially enjoyed the cultural nights and the lovo buffet dinner, the food was good and gave us a real taste of Fiji. Everything about our stay felt relaxed and effortless, and we left feeling completely recharged. The butler service was also a highlight; sipping bubbles and enjoying canapés on our balcony at sunset was the perfect way to end each day.

AustraliaOften the service was quite slow. While we loved the slow island pace, when it came to getting our drinks half way through our dinner, that wasn't great.
The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming every step of the way. Keleni and Rajesh were exceptional as were the performances each day.

AustraliaThe breakfast buffet is repetitive, average and overpriced but the only option every single day. Almost all children’s meals contain chips which is challenging when you’re there for a number of days. It’s either that or pasta every single meal. Other than food we enjoy this resort for our young kids.
Adult only pool is a delightful break from the main pool.

United KingdomAdult pool area very busy not enough seats, rooms were ok but noisy from about 6am with children up and shouting. At times service was very slow but Sundowners was an exception. Having an adult only section for rooms would be a better solution to resolve this.
The location, most of the staff were exceptional.the adult pool area, butler service for drinks and canapies and the Sundowners restaurant. happy hour in Baravi and service from staff was excellent

AustraliaSnacks and water in the convenience store was too expensive. Really not necessary to be so high.
Loved the pool and snorkelling on the beach. Room was very clean, especially the modern bathroom. Great range of daily activities offered by the resort, all outlined on the Outrigger App. Some activities cost a little extra but that didn’t bother us at all. Staff so welcoming and friendly.

AustraliaThe main buffet wasn't great, and it was very expensive. The resort was cashless, meaning they didn't take payments of any kind and everything had to be charged to the room. This makes it difficult to keep track of how much you are spending. The meal plans were ludicrously expensive and not worth it.
The location and the sheer amount of activities for children. The babysitting services and the nannies were fantastic, and helped us enjoy some kid free time. The adult pool provided a much-needed escape.

New ZealandPartner got food poisoning from the food. Fiji time can be rather slow taking 45 minutes to get 1 drink at times and other times the drinks not turning up at all but still being charged! Would have thought Pure Fiji toiletries would have been used or similar quality, being a 5 star resort, but the brand used wasn't very good.
Clean resort with comfortable beds and lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Separate adult only area with swim up bar for relaxing away from the children. Love the views from the bar that you can get a ride to up the very top of the resort. Enjoyed taking a picture on the Outrigger swing at the beach. Has a little convenience shop, you pay high prices but that's the cost of being there.

AustraliaA hammock at our room would’ve been nice, and somewhere to hang wet clothes.
The temperature of the pool was good, staff were friendly, the food was nice and lots of entertainment options for families. Our room was clean and serviced daily. Special mention to Esa from the activities centre - he made a special effort with my young boys and made their time memorable. We snorkelled every morning, and spent afternoons by the waterslide. We would happily return
