Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIn an effort to make the resort a place to disconnect, I think it might have been overdone a little. While we were happy with no internet or TV in the room, I think it should have a phone to be able to contact reception staff or the medical centre in the case of emergencies, as the accommodation is spaced out quite a bit around the resort; and especially as it seemed to have a demographic leaning towards older visitors, and families with small children. Our bure could have done with a few rails and/or hooks to hang up towels, etc., otherwise, it was just what we were looking for and plan to be back as soon as we can!
Loved just about everything! The staff were warm, welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The accommodation was spacious - we had a lagoon bure which was enormous!. The location was very quiet and peaceful. The food was amazing. You could do as little or much as you wanted. We had a wonderful massage with very skilled staff.. and best of all - no hard sell for product! July was a great time of year for the weather, too. A very pleasant 26-27 degrees all week, with little humidity.

New ZealandNot that they can help it but plantation island is 300m away and it's loud at night. That stops around 10pm though. Pool is a little tired and the sea is tidal.
The cleanliness of the island. No rubbish to be seen. Paths meticulously groomed. Lots of space and relaxing. They offer snorkeling at the sandbank for free. There is a supermarket at the island and the buffet dinners were awesome. Soooo much selection for food. I'm gluten free and every morning the chef made me pancakes.

New ZealandNothing really, the only room for improvement would be space for clothes in the bedrooms and a rack or hooks for towels in the bathroom.
The facilities and water sports options were great as was the sandbank visit. The food at Dick's place was delicious! The climate, the space and greenery between bures for privacy and the size of the resort.

New ZealandEverything was fantastic.
The food was outstanding, so healthy, fresh and so much of it. We were truly blown away but the quality of the food. The staff were so helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh linen provided. It was so nice to come back to our room each afternoon to find it beautifully tidy.

AustraliaMost of the cocktails were too strong for me. hahaha And some maintenance around the main pool is required.
Food was mostly good - good variety and fresh. Seafood inclusions were very good. Some food options were too salty, overcooked or not cooked enough (eg poached eggs) but on the whole a pleasant dining experience.

New ZealandThe salt water pool can really sting little eyes. It's a gorgeous pool though and the perfect temp.
Musket Cove is wonderful. It is smart, but not flash which is important to our family because we are traveling with children. We want them to feel free and enjoy themselves and not have to mind their ps and qs too much!

AustraliaHonestly, the only downside was not staying longer! We wish we had more time to enjoy this paradise.
We had such a wonderful stay at Musket Cove! The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth made the whole experience feel even more special. As someone with celiac disease, I was so happy to find plenty of delicious gluten-free options available and not just the basics, but truly tasty meals that felt thoughtfully prepared. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and spotless, you could tell great care goes into keeping everything clean and welcoming. The resort also organizes lovely evening activities. We joined the quiz night and the traditional Fijian pig roast with songs and dances, both were so much fun and added a unique cultural touch to our stay. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing yet vibrant island escape.

AustraliaAbsolutely loved our stay here! We stayed in a Lagoon Bure and really recommend it - it was ideally placed within a short walk to everything in the resort (but still very quiet), and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck looking over the peaceful lagoon. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable with good air con. All the food we ate was excellent, always fresh and varied. But the standout was definitely the staff, especially those on the reception desk and at Dick's Place restaurant/bar. We were travelling with our seven-month-old baby and they were so sweet with her, cutting up fruit for her, and always playing and chatting with her. She fell in love with them all and had the best time because of them. Service was always prompt and friendly and the staff would go out of their way to help. We stayed for six nights but could have stayed longer, there was such a variety of daily activities to partake in, and we couldn't get enough of the beautiful beach and swimming pool. We will definitely be returning in future.

New ZealandThe main pool could do with some TLC and could do with more shaded area, maybe could have more cleaning checks as seemed a little cloudy at times and I heard other guests mention this A massager was taking up an entire booth and families with young children missed out , they do have the spa to use
The food is very good with healthy tasty options. Staff are great . The bure was great with comfortable beds

New ZealandInternet is only in the main public area not in the little house you stay in. You need to catch the cabs with meters otherwise your fare will be double, you can also bargain with the drivers if price is still over the top before start ride. If you can get an all exclusive offer on all excursions then take it as the individual trips everywhere are starting to price themselves out of the market.
Package we had included all meals. The food was on time and really nice.Buffet style setup so you could have multiple plates.
