Friendly, helpful staff, extremely well organized. Food was plenty and very good, offering vegetarian choices. A very relaxing and peaceful stay with the opportunity to do other activities, or nothing at all.

Beautiful location. The Fiji culture night on the Saturday evening was great. Snorkelling direct off the beach was excellent.

Starting to get a bit over developed. Staff here did not seem as happy, friendly or welcoming as barefoot Manta, which has a much more relaxed and low key atmosphere. Maybe because of the number of day visitors churning through.

A small slice of paradise, the bure were all clean, spacious and private. There were enough activities to keep busy for several days. The staff was friendly and I loved all the music.

The food could have done with more local dishes and fresh fruits and juices

Our time at Barefoot Kuata was truly magical. The food was good, and the reef right in front of the resort felt like a dream—perfect for snorkeling. We stayed in a bungalow that was simply epic, and one of the best parts was being able to walk barefoot straight from the door onto the beach. The highlight of our trip was diving with bull sharks, which was hands down one of the best diving experience we’ve ever had. Felt super safe. The staff were kind and helpful, and even went the extra mile when I realized I had left a swimsuit behind, making sure I could recover it. Overall, an incredible experience that I’d recommend to anyone visiting the Yasawas.

The only downside was that there wasn’t availability to extend our stay, because we would have happily stayed much longer.

As I was a solo traveler, would have appreciated being seated with others for the night meal

Absolutely fabulous spot. Superb diving and snorkeling. Bures were lovely. We'd definitely stay again.

Would have liked fewer European dishes on the menu. More local dishes please.

Views, reef, the room and location.

Needs to be a price list put somewhere in the rooms of all the activities on the island as it was hard to find

We stayed in a Bure which was clean but a little tired. Dive Master JV was amazing. Really gave you the fijian experience .

Doors in our bure stuck and Bathroom needs a refresh. Fan only had two settings slow or so fast I thought it would fly off.

The villa’s room and bathroom is very spacious and clean. It is beautiful and just steps away from the beach, at night you can hear the sound of ocean waves clearly. The staff is ultra friendly and personable, food at the buffet is delicious.

I wish the checkout time is a bit later than 10am since the ferry taking us back is only coming at 4pm. It would also be good if there’s an option of twin beds for friends traveling together instead of a queen bed.

Such a great stay at barefoot Kuata, the dorms were clean and well kept. The buffet breakfast and lunch were plentiful with many options available, the food was great overall, loved the 3 course dinners. The reef right at the front was simply gorgeous, there was a beautiful platform to watch the sunset and also a 40min return uphill hike if you were looking for better views and a bit of exercise. Lots of cosy areas to hang out, read a book or have a nap. Dive shop was efficient and easy to book activities, I did the introductory diving with bull sharks and had the best experience with the instructors. I can’t remember her name but the taiwanese lady who did our pool training was just so polite and calm, and a big thank you to Epi who held my hands and kept me calm the entire dive down . The staff are all simply beautiful and cheerful, they were always willing to have a chat, sing you a song or simply make you feel super welcome.

Not enough to change how much I liked to stay here and I would definitely stay again despite these things - just pointers for improvement. - the bunk beds were super wobbly and noisy - The doors to the dorms didn’t close properly so loads of mosquitos would come in - There were no towels allocated for the dorms, only private rooms. No towels for rent either which was a bit challenging and a first for me. - bar staff at happy hour were extremely overwhelmed and not able to keep up with how busy they were. Its a big resort and only 1 staff member to take orders, write them down, get signature from guest and also make the cocktails simply not enough. The bar also ran out of cold beers by 7pm on two occasions
