“Beautiful hosts who made you feel part of the family. Our stay was only short, but we had a lovely time with our hosts and some local children on the island ☺️”

“We liked every single day we spent in Nabukeru village. Misi, our host, was super nice and the whole village was great with us. Food was good and plenty (every meal was cooked by a different family). You will mainly eat cassava rice noodles and fish which for us was great. Do bring bottle water (unfortunately rain water gave us bellyaches) and some snacks as there are no shops in the village: it is going to be you and the ocean and nothing else. The homestay house is on the beach, very simple but absolutely gorgeous. Our kids played with the village kids, we visited cassava fields, we went to visit the school, spent time with people, snorkels a lot (great coral rift very close by by plus amazing blue lagoon caves you can visit). We went to mess on Sunday with the community. We took lots of boat trips, went fishing, it was really a great experience. My son cried when he said goodbye to Misi! We will bring Nabukeru in our hearts!”

“Great location for seeing the caves! The staff were great and there was lots of great free activities to do!”

  • “We loved our start at Blue Lagoon. All the staff were very lovely. The food was delicious. The resort itself was perfect for a 4 day relaxing getaway.”

  • Nabua Lodge Review score: 7.8

“The beach was very beautiful, with a great location and crystal-clear blue water. The cabin was also comfortable. The shower was hot – a definite plus. It's a great place to experience how locally-run accommodation works – much more authentic and rooted in the local way of life.”
