The “spa” needs some work

Great location and the view is exceptional

Simply everything was perfect: the overall location with the breathtaking views; different types of accommodations available (our double tukul was upgraded to one full tukul ;-); the bar on the cliff with mesmerizing sunsets; extremely friendly, helpful and always smiling staff, the beautifully decorated rooms, tasty food. The hotel owner also organized a car with a driver and a guide for the full three days, and both of them were wonderful (Driver Gashaw and Guide Maereg). We stayed three days with our 3 children to have enough time for visiting all the 11 churches, complete the hiking to the Asheton Maryam Monastery, see the village and have time to simply enjoy the peace over there.

I really enjoyed my time at Sora lodge! first of all the hotel design is charming, views are incredible! staff were so nice and did above and beyond to make me happy satisfy and help me with the rest of my trip. food was also delicious. spa service is great. best hotel I've got in Ethiopia!

Wifi is not that good but it s quite normal concidering the location.

It was my sencond time at the Lodge. The owner is very helpfull and taking care of our satisfaction. The staff of the restaurant is professional and very friendly. The lodges have a very nice view. There is also a view point open bar, very lovely for a sunset with a beer. The qulaity of the matress were perfect. The safety is also guarentee.

Very friendly staff, nice food, good Breakfast. They don’t have much to offer but they do Their best and that’s a good attitude. Very nice views, nice infrastructure and they have contacts for tour guides.

The hotel staff gave us a warm welcome on arrival and were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We had a large room with a balcony and a good bathroom. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. It’s a short walk to one of the town squares. It has a great view out over the countryside.

Wifi could not reach my room though I liked it that way as a good escape from unwanted communication and social media.

Location is convenient quite close to the famous churches. I went to the nearby churches by tuktuk though i think you can walk in 15-20 mins. The hotel surrounding is very beautiful with majestic mountains in sight.

Sora Lodge Lalibela is a great place to chill out in the historic town of Lalibela. The staff were friendly. The view from the Sun Set Bar was amazing.

great location and very friendly staff who even found a doctor in the middle of one night when it became necessary. The view from the rooms could not be better and the food in the restaurant was also superb. we stayed for a whole week and did not get tired of it. In addition to the churches, there are some.very nice hiking trails for which a guide is recommended though.
