- the view from our room was just STUNNING. what a sunset! - staff was very welcoming and friendly. always looking to help. - we particularly enjoined the tour the hotel organised for us. the tour guide and the driver were both great! and I would recommend that experience to any of my friends visiting Lalibela - at night they prepared some traditional honey wine for us (thanks!!) as well as a bonfire to sit around and chat. Abel and Wundemo (hope I spelt their names correctly!) were a great company to have around the fire!

United KingdomOnly disappointment was the included breakfast, on day 1 I enjoyed scrambled eggs, sweet bread, toast, a small donut and a bowl of fruit. But on day 2 this was reduced to only eggs and toast, due to lack of supplies. Also no milk available over 2 days so black coffee only.
For the price paid I cannot fault the room or location. Staff were friendly, tour guide booked through the hotel Mak, was a good guide, knowledgeable about the churches and decent chat over coffee and beer.

United KingdomPayment had to be made for a booking that was not used because of a visa delay (although admittedly the hotel was strictly correct as the nature of the delay meant that the cancellation could not be made by the required deadline).
The location fully justifies the hotel's name and is extremely peaceful, offering a welcome contrast to Addis Ababa. The panoramic view is not just from one's room but also from the bar and restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and made arrangements for an excellent guided tour (I would highly recommend the guide, Ermiyas).

Really enjoyed the beautiful views from the hotel, especially the sunset in the evening. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and the view from there is breathtaking. A great place to relax after exploring Lalibela. The staff were very friendly and helpful, ensuring all my needs were met. The food is quite good too. I would definitely return

JapanThe wifi was not available in my room, only available in lobby and restaurant. The credit card payment was also not stable. But considering the city is recovering from a difficult situation, this is acceptable and expected to be fixed.
The staff are very friendly and the service is very good. The view from the room was excellent. Especially the landscape during sunset time. The hotel arranged tour with very professional guide. Mr Mekuanint introduced a lot of knowledge of the churches and guided me to a local religious ceremony in one of the churches, which was extremely impressive.

SpainPanoramic View Hotel Lalibela has a great location and superb views! The rooms are clean, and the food and service are excellent. The highlight of my stay was definitely my private tour with Mequanint — the best tour guide in Lalibela! He showed me around the 11 rock-hewn churches in just two hours — a new Guinness World Record in the 8th Wonders of the World! I strongly recommend both the hotel and Mequanint as a guide if you visit Lalibela (Ethiopia).

FranceMoney-hungry management wants to squeeze as much cash as possible from the handful of tourists who stay in this place. The restaurant is way overpriced, the service is very slow, and the quality of the meals is just average/poor. I was charged 6 USD for fries and a coke in a country where a waiter earns less than 20 USD a month. Definitely do not recommend. There are better places in town.
The location and views are the only good things about this hotel.
