*One thing- I couldn't switch off the lights at night in the dorm. It stayed on until 10 pm even though everyone was sleeping at 9 pm already

*close to the Camino path *helpful staff

one bathroom inside for 24+ dorms, tiny fridge, turned the actual lights on in the dorm at 7am. €15 for dinner. €3 for toast and coffee in the am.

    it’s right on the camino

A light for the bunk bed, I also couldn't find where the light switch was. Curtains on the windows would have been good.

A homely hostel that had a personal feel, it was a little out of town, which could have been a disadvantage but instead it gave me an opportunity to meet some interesting people walking the Camino as well.

Unfortunately our bunk beds were in front of the door and was quite difficult to sleep without being woken up by the comings/goings of the guests.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The house and the surroundings are pleasant and is very well located.

It was expensive for a very basic hostel. Dinner was good. The total cost including dinner, seemed high. I had to pay for a towel, too.

It was clean. The dinner was good.

It was very cold during night, with my sleeping bag and a blanket I still felt chilling. I borrowed one more blanket from another bed to keep warm.

Can order food for dinner, homemade omlet with soup are delicious. With various tea bags and cocoa in the kitchen, I had my first cup of hot water during my stay in Spanish, and felt very cozy. Eugenia was very warm and nice to me although there's no one else stayed in the albergue that day, she said that I had a huge private room, which was cool for a solo traveler. The camino stamp here is beautiful as well.

It's far from downtown. As a pilgrim, it's quite a walk to get there. There're a lot of beds (24) in one room and it felt very crowded/noisy with people's gear everywhere. Also, you must pay extra for breakfast.

Out of town, so we carried food all the way there as nothing nearby. On arrival found out hostel did pilgrim menu. Shame that wasn't made clearer wheb we booked. Slightly odd bathroom situ. They are in different area, so have to walk outside in dark in the morning to get in shower. In the rain....

    Right on camino. Good value.

There could be more privacy for those on the top bunk beds and the beds could be better fitted to the walls so less shaky to get into.

Wonderful hosts, who created a beautiful atmosphere where people could relax and meet one another. When I arrived they learned my name and made me feel very welcome. The dinner together in the evening was a beautiful moment to share with people from across the globe!

As mentioned in a lot of other reviews, the top bunks don’t have any privacy and since this Albergue seems to cater to larger groups, there is likely going to be a lot of noise and a lot of people getting up really early (5am or earlier) and making quite a bit of noise.

Super friendly and welcoming staff, and lovely outdoor area for lounging and chatting. I liked that the bathroom and washroom facilities were separate from the main house, there was never a long wait and it was nice having separate shower rooms, etc.

The room where everyone sleeps is very hot and noisy. There is no curfew so the lights were on very late and people were talking loudly. Top bunks have no privacy.

The host is very lovely and welcoming. The property is beautiful and lots of space for everyone to chill out. You are north of Redondela town so you get a head start on the Camiño the next morning.

The nearest supermarket is more than 1km. It’s better to bring your own food to stay here or the hostel offer dinner for 15 euros per person.

The basins for washing clothes were large and lacked drain plugs making it impossible to soak your clothes and requiring lots of running water to rinse them but it was easy to overcome using a gallon-sized Ziploc.

This place is run by a young couple raising two small kids and they couldn't be nicer. Engaging, friendly, smart, warm, welcoming and incredibly hard working as they provide for everyone who passes through their doors. The dormitory is clean and comfortable and the A/C was a godsend. Plenty of showers, bathrooms, clotheslines. Open kitchen and dining room where you can prepare your own food or they will serve you breakfast (included) lunch (el menú), and dinner (same menú) for 15 Euros each. Being in Cesantes, just past (north of) Redondela, you begin with a small head start the next day on your way to Redondela.

Did not have strict quiet hours. Other guests and staff were loud while we were trying to sleep

Beds were set up to maximize privacy. Bathrooms were secluded. Provided places to wash and dry clothes. Nice places to relax outside.
