We liked the courtyard, room with comfy bed. Breakfast was superb. The receptionists were very kind and helpful too. Definitely a place I would like to come back to.

The location of the Hotel is very pleasant, up and away from the town and quite hidden behind high old walls. It is a beautiful historic building. The grounds were not as large as I had expected from the photographs online but very pretty all the same. It is a mix or old and new style, very nice. I liked the styling of the interior and my room, an attic room, was lovely and spacious. Fabulous big bed and on the hottest day of the year, a very welcome electric fan. There was only a small triangular window and my room overlooked a large apartment block with noisy children to be heard but the windows were shuttered and this shut out ANY noise!!! Lovely towels and shower/soap products. My welcome was brilliant. Two lovely male team members could not do enough for me and spoke great English. They apologised that my room might take longer to be ready as there had been a Wedding the previous night. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area and great for a solo lady traveller.

I can understand why but the stairs carpet was dirty and in rather a scruffy state. But this is clearly a popular venue for a lot of Weddings/Celebrations and the footfall must be heavy. But how about replacing it with sisal carpet, more hardwearing, and would not show the spills and dirt so easily! Sadly, Solares isn't such a great place but it has all the amenities you could need. Great Bus and Train connections and lovely Patisserie, one beautiful clothes and shoe shop and a Spa Hotel where I can absolutely recommend the Spa facilities and two good supermarkets.

The kind staff garden and look of it from outside is lovely But a whole wing of rooms inside is really old and not insulated at all Not what they show on photos

The wing in which we were accommodated is so old No air conditioning No insulation between rooms SO BAD! You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbours watching TV, snoring, vomiting and going to the loo! Really bad

The staff were exceptional, especially when we thought we had left our passports in our room on checking out. They went that extra mile in trying to locate our missing pass ports so that we might still catch our ferry. A big thank you to all the staff.

    Property response:

Dear David, Thank you very much for your comment and rating. We are happy to know that we have helped you not to miss the ferry, we are at your disposal for whatever you need and we hope to see you again soon. Best regards!

We were passing by so stayed only 1night. We did not expect much, to be allowed to stay with a dog and have where to park the car. Los Guardeses exceeded our expectation by super friendly and kind staff, no extra charges for the dog, breakfast included in the price and free parking on the street. Thank you so much!

    Property response:

Thank you very much for your review! We are glad to hear that your stay was so pleasant , we look forward to seeing you again soon at our hotel. Best regards!

The staff were lovely and so accommodating. The room was clean and suitable for us as we were travelling with our furry friend Finn, a cocker spanial. Breakfast was also included which was continental and adequate and considering the prrice for our room which was a Black Friday special, we were happy.

Parking – this isn't available at the premises. Also, there isn't a restaurant. We were able to park nearby fortunately and there were places to eat nearby also, if required.

    Property response:

Thank you very much for your review! It was a pleasure to have you with us. Greetings!

Within its historical walled garden, we found a hotel with ambience and style. Staff were very friendly and helpful; we got a double room as requested, and they managed to find a safe space to put our bicycles for the night. Breakfast was quite elaborate compared to some other hotels in Spain.

It lists having a restaurant, but it seems that is only for the weddings that they have there practically every weekend. The 2nd floor room was of good size, but daylight only came through two small roof windows at 1.7m above the ground (short people would not be able to see our)
