How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis place is a real hidden gem, and writing this review might change that. It's such a lovely, comfy place, you don't want to leave. The rooms are beautiful, the terrace is huge and everything from getting breakfast to the staff is just awesome. It's great place!
That we only stayed one night.

Verified reviewThe property is exceptionally clean. The sizes of the beds, rooms and bathrooms are larger than expected with almosy everything provided for. It feels like youre staying a friend's home and the palce is super welcoming. Very comfortable, quiet and the outdoors terrace area is superb! I had a really wonderful stay. Additionally, they were extremely kind and adjusted the dates of my stay as my visa was delayed - that is something which really stood out to me. Sheila is very thoughtful and ensures that the guests have a comfortable stay. They also let me leave my luggage after check out and gave me access to a super clean bathroom and shower in case I wanted to use that before heading to the airport - several hours after my check out! The breakfast is a vibe - fresh oranges, fruits, bread, lots of coffee and tea available! They also provide eggs that you can cook the way you like. The place is so tastefully decorated in shades of beige and sage, and puts one at ease the moment you enter the space! I'll surely come back and stay again!
Ohhh so kind of you! Im glad you had a such nice time at Olivia. It was a pleasure having you here! Hope to see you again! Hugs from Barcelona :)

Verified reviewEverything about this place is gorgeous. They put so much attention to detail… It feels like being at home in a gorgeous apartment of your own. I will only stay here when visiting Barcelona from now on. Extremely clean, tidy, well located (20 min walk from Sants Station and multiple supermarkets) and amazing customer service.
Everything is perfect!

Verified reviewPleasantly surprised at the space, cleanliness and quality of the facilities. The Olivia has a calm vibe and is a super comfortable place to hang out or use as a base to explore the city.
No negative comments at all.

Verified reviewThe parking situation was inconvenient, especially because there really isn't a place to load/unload your car at the property itself. If you're not driving, it is fantastic.

Verified reviewEverything :) The location, the facilities, the shared kitchen, the terrace, the staff and their attitude, tips, etc. The accommodation itself, its atmosphere, the kindness of the staff was already an experience even before Barcelona caused any experiences. Renovated, sophisticated, modern, child-friendly (7-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy). Shops, market, metro, restaurants, tapas bar, bakery, pastry shop a few steps away, Camp Nou a pleasant walk
No one in my family could say that.... Only thing I didn't like: We didn't spend much time here :)

Verified reviewSeparate beds + curtains around them(!) Doors have automatic digit locks. Everything was clean. I liked the terace and the full cupboards with teas; some cereal was also available. Renting the towel didn't cost extra.
I don't think it markets itself as one of the hostels that also do events. That can be an avenue for improvement. Location is not very far from the centre; i'd say it's midway. There are other hostels located much farther. In the room there are two private lockers available if I'm not mistaken. I don't know if all 4 beds have private baggage lockers. There are about 6 (or 9?) metro stops to Catalunya square. My memory fails me.

Verified reviewWe liked the location, in a lively and friendly neighbourhood. It was comfortable, clean, and silent during the night. It was easy to find the location and it is close to transportation station.
We actually liked everything, first time staying at a hostel and it was a good experience.

Verified reviewGood location, convenient electronic check in and key. Safe.
You can hear everything from the other rooms. If you want a coffee there izan extra charge. Many hotels offer free coffee at the location.

Verified reviewThe property is located in the Les Corts neighborhood and is perfectly connected by metro and bus to the central districts of Barcelona, as well as to the L9S metro line that leads to the airport. Check-in at the property takes place by receiving a code that will be used to open the main entrance and your room. I stayed in a mixed dormitory with four non-bunk beds. Each bed is curtained on each side to ensure good privacy. As in every dormitory, each bed is associated with a lockable cabinet in which to store objects. The structure has two shared bathrooms, one for men and one for women, with two toilets and a shower each. The property also features a kitchen, dining room, a nice terrace and a small lounge. There is a good quality-price ratio. The staff is friendly and willing to help.
