The floor was not clean. I walked bare foot for about 5 minutes and I got all messy.

The host was nice but a bit all over us. He spoke good english at least. The room was decent enough. Good water pressure and good drainage, more than I could ask for considering our previous experiences. Great beds! Great sleep!

I stayed here for 4 nights after completing my Camino. It was the perfect choice. Prior to arrival, staff was extremely responsive and helpful with all of my questions through WhatsApp and Booking.com. When I arrived, they were very welcoming and assisted with any questions and needs. Their hospitality made all the difference in my stay. I chose this hostal due to it being about half a mile from the busy center, because I wanted to be able to explore other areas of the city and have quiet nights away from loud bars and restaurants, which I'd experienced in the bigger cities on the Camino. There were black out shutters, double windows, a comfortable bed, and even a small bathtub, so I was able to get fully rested and recovered. The hostal was also very clean and located next to and/or very close to restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, shoe/clothing stores, massage/nail salons, yoga studio, laundry mats, and an airport bus stop. It was perfect, and if I do another Camino, I would definitely choose it again. The kindness of the staff truly made it a great stay.

It was a bit expensive and I know that I booked it last minute and that area is usually a bit expensive. But for the facility and location, it is still a bit pricey I guess.

The female staff was kind and helpful. Her English wasn’t fluent but she tried to communicate well. Laundry service was good. She found an umbrella for me when I asked her. Location was ok, walking distance to Cathedral and train/bus station. The facility itself is old but seems like it is maintained well.

The bathroom ventilation could be improved, and a communal space with a microwave, fridge, and some kitchen facilities would be a nice addition for guests.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, well situated between the railway/bus station and the historic center. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy mattress and an effective heater. I appreciated the staff's thoughtfulness in providing a kettle and cup, and the bathroom had an excellent hot water stream. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of bakeries, restaurants, and shops to visit.

The staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful, in every way. The entire place was ALWAYS clean. The room was very comfortable. It was a really wonderful temporary home. I was there for a week. If I was going to stay in Santiago for a year, I'd stay at Hostal Charo II!

It would have been nice a kettle was available. But that is a minor detail.

Great location with a nice, airy room that had a street-facing window. Everything was clean, and the bathroom, though small, was in perfect working order. The highlight was definitely the staff—they were super friendly and helpful!
