The location of the bathroom is a bit unlucky since one has to cross the whole reception area to get there. It was also incredibly humid in the bathroom.

The people working there (especially Hassan) where so nice and friendly. The room was very comfortable. Because of extreme heat in Aswan during our stay it was very calming to stay in room with very good WiFi.

Just 1 bathroom for the dorms

The dorms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Each bed had its own power socket, light, and regular sized locker for bags. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, big shoutout to Jimmy and Hassan for making my stay amazing by going with me to the market, showing me around, helping me with tours, and even getting me a last-minute bus ticket. They were easy to chat and hang out with. I had a great stay I’ll always remember. Thanks guys!

The hotel is in a perfect location next to many stores. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We didnt use the kitchen but it seemed big. Bathroom was big and comfortable too. The staff was very kind, they offered us a welcomed drink. One important thing for tourists is that it is close to McDonalds.

Jimmy was a wonderful host and very attentive and helpful! He helped us with transportation for Abu Simbel, let us keep our bags at the hostel after we checked out and even went out of his way to organise us a bus to Luxor. The location is right in the centre of town, 2 minutes walk from the river Nile. I would definitely stay here again.

The hostel is a bit hidden next to a shop and the building it is in looks a bit unfinished. You definitely need to look twice to find it.

I really liked the central location, the staff Hassan and Jimmy were very friendly and helpful. I was able to get some good recommendations from them. The beds were very comfortable and the location has everything you’d need.

It felt like crashing at a friend's place for a while. I stayed in the female's room: AC is functioning well. Beds are comfortable enough for the value. Bathroom is shared and clean. You have kitchen area and also laundry if you need. The stuff has been very helpful with any inquiries you may have. On top they were very friendly that made the stay more enjoyable. Especially thanks to Hassan who has a big heart to help people to ensure they are having their best time in Aswan.

Its a nice hostel in the city center and very close to everything. The communication was good and i liked the place. For the price you get a clean room with everything you need. I was able to do my laundry too. Jimmy was a very nice host!

It's in the middle of market and mosque. The praying sound is very loud and quite late at night, need to bring your ear plugs The hostel is hard to find. There's no sign from outside. No elevator and we had to carry our lugguge to the 4th floor. The stairs is quite narrow.

Staff is nice, he answered message very quick. Room is big and clean. Share bathroom is also clean, never have any problem for queing while we stayed. We can walk by the Nile. Local people around here are nice and feel safe.

I had an amazing experience in this hostel! I usually travel a lot and I've been staying in hotels lately, but I decided to give a hostel a try in Aswan and spent a wonderful time! I wish I would have stayed longer because the city is lovely! The recepcionist Jimmy was super nice and helpful. The place is super clean and has relaxing vibes and it is located in the 4th floor in a building inside the Old Market. I would definitely go back!

The sofas in the communal area were a bit worn and not very comfortable. It can also get a little noisy at times due to the hostel’s close proximity to the markets.

The receptionist was fantastic—you can tell he works hard to keep the hostel running smoothly. He even stayed in the same room as us and made checkout super easy, right from our beds. He kindly offered me coffee and even went to the local market to get a cheap Pepsi for me. I also shared a few suggestions with him on how to make the experience even better.

There is not something I didn't like

I was traveling solo in Egypt and I decided to book a hostel rather than a hotel. Wanees Hostel was amazing, great facilities, the staff is very friendly and helpful when I needed them. They are also very responsive via Whatsapp in everything I was asking for anytime during the day - even late in the night to request for a wake up alarm. I totally recommend it and it's worth it even for small groups, solo travelers or even group trips. You are in the heart of the downtown city centre. Despite the fact that the entrance of the building in the first look may put you second thoughts just go uptairs and you will get used to it. Super friendly the guys there

I had an amazing stay at Wanees Hostel! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home.
