How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent — close to everything we needed and perfect for exploring the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s very kid-friendly, which made travelling as a family so much easier, and the breakfast was absolutely lovely. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Verified reviewOverall, it was a good experience. The Grand Pyramids View Hotel, now known as Kafuu Villa, had very nice and helpful staff. However, getting a taxi was a bit difficult because the hotel is located very close to the pyramids, at the end of a road with limited access. For transportation, I recommend using the iDrive app in Egypt — it’s cheap, safer, and more convenient than trying to hail a taxi on the street. There’s also a local shop nearby, which is great for buying essentials at local prices. If you’re on a budget, you might also find cheaper hotel options in the surrounding area.

Verified reviewI would like to highlight the exceptional quality of the service, the cleanliness and comfort of the room, as well as the delicious meals offered. The staff is particularly friendly, helpful, efficient, and always attentive to the well-being of their guests. The location is also a real advantage: perfect for those who wish to visit the pyramids, which are just a few minutes away. An unforgettable experience that I highly recommend!

Verified reviewEveryone working there was really nice and attentive. For breakfast choices I tried two of them and my favorite was the egyptian breakfast. They have different tour options but you have to ask.
Wifi was only working in the lobby. Also, it was a bit confusing when getting here because it is also Villa Khufu. Not sure if they changed the name or if they had two properties. Also keep in mind that you have a great location but it is off road-ish. Ubers and walking on your own can be an experience.

Verified reviewIt was next to impossible to find the hotel because the name of the hotel we reserved via Booking was not the actual name of the hotel! It took a very persistent taxi driver and the help of many, many locals, to EVENTUALLY find the place. There were no rooms available when we arrived (despite us emailing them beforehand asking to re-reconfirm our room). We were relocated to the hotel across the street for the first night as a result. Still, when we went back to the original hotel, they said the type of room we had reserved for didn’t and gave us a very small one. It took a lot of insistence from our part to get a larger room. We did get a large room, but it was very noisy (next to reception). In all fairness, the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Also of note, the staff was very kind at all times and the top floor terrace was OK. We booked one of the tours offered by the hotel, which turned into a disaster: the original tour guide faked a sickness (so obvious) and sent someone else in his place. The new “guide” turned out to be someone in training (or so they said) who spoke very little English, so we ended up guiding ourselves. The person barely knew the history of the places we went to and would basically search Google for information. :(

Verified reviewThey are registered on the booking.com and we saw the good ratings and booked a room 3months in advance and paid full amount when we reach to the location they sent to us there was no hotel at the location , there is another hotel with another name but the pics are same they put on the booking.com it was very horrible that you travel for 8hours with family and you saw there is no hotel i ask the staff they say this is not the hotel you book this is another hotel named khufu villa because the owner is changed now we don’t have any other room and they don’t give us the room and said to book another hotel never never never book this hotel ( THE GRAND PYRAMIDS VIEW HOTEL ) ❌❌ after all when we do a long argument and raised our voice then the arrange us a another hotel nearby but this was very bad experience overall I recommend that whenever you are going to book a hotel please search it on different sites if it existed on 3-4 sites and also on google after all the research than make the decision we search it on 1 site and google map and also message them to get location but these people are totally fake , i will not recommend you to book this hotel
The hotel is not existed they are totally fake , same location same pic same everything but the name is changed when we reach to the hotel they said this is different hotel not the grand pyramids view hotel and we don’t have any room go and book some another hotel totally scam don’t book with them ❌❌❌❌❌❌

Verified reviewHardly anything
We were sent to another guest house really bad without hot water due to unavailability, wanting me to pay the full amount and stay there. I had to argue with the manager on the phone so we could at least move to the place we booked the day after. There are many places with the same name so be careful where you head, we couldn't even find the hotel and had to book a room somewhere else.

Verified reviewI've got the larger room that i expected. And i can easily check in very late, at about 2am. Also the staff is so kind. There are many waters in the room, and the breakfast was cool, even if it takes some time..
It is hard to find the location, either for me and the taxi driver. And it has two names, so confusing. I cannot use the hot water in the morning, maybe it was same on that area. A few minutes later, i had trouble to use cold water too. I think that was not the problem of the hotel. An

Verified reviewI liked the view of the Pyramids and the bed was comfortable. The staff are lovely, kind and helpful especially Mohammad and the boys who work on rooftop.
One member of staff was quite rude and seemed to have an issue with lone women travellers. He made md feel uncomfortable and close to tears twice. One time banging on my door telling me to leave the room and today informing me very late that I could not book again. I've been booking night by night as I had an issue with my visa I was trying to fix before I fly home. Other hotel staff told me there was a room so this member of staff lied. I left as I felt so upset and uncomfortable. 😔

Verified reviewThe hotel was so much better than I imagined from what I seen online, the staff are such a lovely family who go above and beyond to make you feel at home. if I could rate the hotel 12/10 I would. It has to be the closest hotel to the pyramids in Giza, without a doubt the energy of the place is so magical and the view of the great pyramid is amazing. The breakfast on a morning was lovely I choose the Egyptian one every time. When leaving I was offered a massage which was a lovely touch for anyone before flying home but I was in a bit of rush for the airport so unfortunately had to say no, but next time for sure as I will defiantly visit this magical place and hotel again.
There was nothing to not like my whole experience was amazing and even a free taxi ride to the airport :)

Verified reviewAmazing location....you can walk to the pyramids and not use a guide. Rooftop great. Staff helpful. Comfortable beds and rooms. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The price was incredible!
There was a confusion at start and they tried to give us a smaller room or pay extra but I showed them my reservation where it states how many beds and that was rectified. More expensive to book tours ect through hotel but that's normal.
