Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaWhile the room itself was comfortable and sizeable - the ambiance around the hotel itself is dull as it is located in a shopping mall which has since been mostly decommissioned. The price was relatively high for what we received. We stayed at Hilton Cairo Heliopolis before this hotel so perhaps our expectations were higher than they should have been. The WiFi was very unstable for the entire four nights of our stay. The breakfast was okay but poor command of English made it a challenge for our eggs to be prepared the way we like them.
Property is was definitely great many decades ago but it is now overdue for a major revamp. The bed was comfortable and the rooms sizeable.

Staff were helpful but the breakfast staff appear very unexperienced Breakfast choices are a bit of a mixture of everything. Location is not great.. The attached mall has only 1 or 2 shops open in it.

The property is very opulently decorated and has everything you need. The staff weee incredibly friendly and helpful and really impressed us.

SpainThe initial room they gave us had a soaking wet carpet in front of the bathroom door, which nobody had spotted prior to our arrival, so after we had unpacked our stuff we had to call reception and be relocated. In the second room the AC did not work properly so we ended up opening the window to cool down the room. Additionally, the room door did not work properly and it was not possible to lock it from the outside, so when we were about to step out for breakfast we had to call reception again and they did a temporary fix just to allow us to go out. Definitely this hotel needs some maintenance and attention to detail for the price they charge.
The hotel is close to the airport if you have an early morning flight.

Convenient to the airport, The Gabriel is rated highly, but there are issues. Apparently, the glory days are long gone. The windows were filthy, the bathroom sink didn't drain, one skimpy towel was provided and no creamer was available for coffee. Breakfast was passable, but the Full English Breakfast is not that. Cleaning supplies and equipment litter the hallways. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Full room service with a varied menu. Comfortable bed.
