The rooms need to be renovated as they are a little bit old, not match the standards of 5 stars. Food was good but compared to previous stays in the same resort, there is a little bit drop in food quality, variety and services.

Staff were excellent, very collaborative and very good customer focused. The recreation team was so active and there were a lot of entertainments that fit all age groups. The gym was fantastic.

It’s clean, superb facilities, friendly, food is great and it’s just magical. All the staff are friendly, kind, polite and can’t do enough to ensure you’re having a fabulous time. Rooms are huge and very clean. The beach and the many pools are so clean and so accessible. Fantastic all round.

I would strongly suggest that the animation team adopt a warmer and more inclusive approach. Their current attitude felt somewhat distant and, at times, as if they were catering to a select group rather than engaging with all guests equally. In a hospitality setting, such behavior can easily be perceived as favoritism, which risks making other guests feel overlooked or less welcome. A truly professional entertainment team should create an atmosphere where every guest feels equally valued and involved, without any sense of separation or exclusivity. A bit more warmth, openness, and equal attention to all guests would not only enhance the experience but also reflect much better on the hotel’s overall image.

Little bit old buildings

I stayed at Sunrise Royal Makadi, Hurghada from 22/7 to 25/7 and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel welcome and at home. A special thanks to Mr. Sayed Hanafy and Ms. Azza Ragab from the reception – they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay smooth and enjoyable. The food quality was excellent, with plenty of delicious options every day. The staff were always smiling, attentive, and ready to help with anything. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely recommend Sunrise Royal Makadi to anyone looking for a great vacation in Hurghada.

Our stay at Royal Makadi was absolutely fantastic. The resort was beautiful, the staff were incredibly welcoming, and everything was perfectly set up for a relaxing family getaway. Poor quality of alcoholic drinks. The beer was all the time like coloured water with some CO2 to give the apparence of beer.

Very clean resort, polite staff and very helpful,many restaurants, entertainment on the beach and every evening and the cherry on the top the clean,sandy beach with the coral reefs just waiting to be explored.

Nothing honestly i had a great vacation

Fantastic Resort , awesome service when it comes to Reception specially MR Sayed Hanafy 👌👌 Also the restaurants (The Main restaurant and Beduin ) They offered a celebration for a wedding anniversary for 2 of our Family and it was really amazing The pool is cozy and clean also our friends in the bar they are doing a great job Animation team is very cheerful and friendly snd they are making sure that everyone is happy and safe I will come again definitely 👍

We have noticed this visit that there were much fewer waiters serving the beach area compared to last visits. It didn't bother us though, but we had to make more steps to/from the beach bar 🙂

This is our fifth visit to sunrise royal makadi resort and it was great. All staff members were very friendly, Mr. Omar in the reception provided smooth check in and out. All waiters and bars staff were very friendly as well and provided great service. Animation team members were active as usual, especially Kimo. The food buffet this year was above and beyond, great taste and many varieties as usual. Anyone looking for a resort that has a great sandy beach for snorkeling as well as Aqua park for kids/adults and high quality service should go there.

I had an unforgettable experience at Sunrise Royal Makadi! From the moment we arrived, everything was beyond expectations — the resort is clean, beautifully maintained, and full of vibrant energy. Special thanks to Mr. Omar and Mr. Islam in reception for their outstanding hospitality and attention to detail — they truly made us feel at home. Also, a big shout-out to the animation team who kept the atmosphere lively and fun for both adults and children, day and night! The food was another highlight — each cuisine was delicious and perfectly presented. Heartfelt thanks to all the chefs across the resort's restaurants for their amazing work and variety that satisfied every taste. We left with beautiful memories and will definitely come back again. I did not like being called every evening to ask how my stay was but if anything that going above the call of duty.

The resort was great as was the hard working staff. Food was diverse and fresh, accommodating kids, vegetarians and vegans. Everyone was welcoming and the cleaning staff is out of this world; rooms, restaurants, pools, everything is clean despite the large number of guests and the warm sandy weather. The maids went out of their way to make animals for my son which was amazing. Entertainment team is so hardworking and talented. Very people oriented resort which I would recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Sunrise Royal Makadi Resort in Hurghada! The facilities are top-notch, and the service is exceptional. The entire reception team, especially Ahmed and Islam, made us feel so welcome. The restaurant experience was fantastic, thanks to Chef Ashraf, Assistant Chef Bahaa, and the restaurant manager, Aboulhassan, who all ensured we had a menu that suited our needs perfectly. The resort is super close to the beach, the rooms and pools were spotless, and the housekeeping team did an incredible job with daily follow-ups, ensuring everything was spotless. We also loved the convenient golf car services around the resort. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to return!

The stay at Sunrise Royal was simply exceptional. It was not about the facilities but the people who spared no effort to make us enjoy in a simply magnificent environment. Everyone was trying his best to make us happy and they were doing it with love and passion. Special thanks to Mr Emad at the front desk who took very special care of our check in and Mr. Abdel Rahman for his endless care throughout our stay. Ayman at the beach was exceptionally catering for all requests at the beach and a lovely staff at the restaurants.
