How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewFriendly and helpful staff. Good food. Beautiful view. Walking distance (2mins) to the pyramids entrance. Overall a very decent hotel.
Not daily cleaning service. At breakfast you only get one drink (the rest you are charged for). We had dinner included to our reservation, but you only get one plate free of charge. The rest you are charged for.
Thank you for your feedback! Cleaning service can be offered everyday but has to be requested by leaving the key at the reception. This way, we make sure that we have the green light to enter the room. One coffee or tea and a juice are included in the breakfast. And the half board option comes with one meal, one side, and one drink. We're sorry if you didn't have these clear informations once you arrived. We'll be happy to see you again!

Verified reviewTitle: Unforgettable Stay with the Best Staff in Cairo! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Jimmy Pyramids Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me like family. They went above and beyond in every way — the highlight was when they cooked me a private dinner on the rooftop with an incredible view of the pyramids. We laughed, shared stories, and they even stayed to hang out with me, making it such a personal and memorable evening. The location is unbeatable — waking up to that view of the pyramids every morning was surreal. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the facilities were excellent. Every little detail felt cared for, and you can tell the team here takes real pride in making their guests happy. If you want more than just a hotel stay — if you want an experience filled with warmth, hospitality, and memories you’ll cherish — this is the place. I’ll definitely be back!
Nothing
Thanks a lot Ivor for your kind review! We were really happy to host you and we hope to see you again soon :)

Verified reviewThe inside of the hotel has been completely renovated, everything looks brand new and spotless. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a solo female traveler, I felt totally safe here and would confidently recommend it to anyone. The location is unbeatable, just a 2 minute walk to the Pyramids of Giza. A special thanks to Mohammad for being so helpful and kind throughout my stay.

Verified reviewI love that staff were very accommodating and friendly. The view from our room is directly to the Pyramids.
Only AC is a bit hot but they transferred us to a room where AC works well.
Thank you Lara for your feedback! Every comment matters to us as it really helps to improve. We fixed the AC since your recent stay :)

Verified reviewThe views from the terrace and rooms was fantastic! The location is walking distance from the pyramids so very convenient. The beds were very comforttable.
Rooms were not made up on the daily - towels not changed and we had to ask for extra rolls of toilet paper since we were there for a number of nights
Thank you Julia for your review and stay! Indeed, rooms are cleaned only upon request to make sure that our cleaning team is allowed to enter the room. Just leave the key at the reception and you'll have your room arranged everyday :)

Verified reviewSo the staff were super nice! Jimmy even allowed to keep our luggage while we went away to faoyum. Extremely accommodating! We checked in late and jimmy was there to help with luggage to take to our room. Room is decorated very tastefully. The room had really good pyramid views. Was able to get some laundry done at a reasonable price!
Nothing with hotel. But whoever is reading pls dnt stay in giza. Rather stay in cairo and do the pyramid trip by uber. The problem is neighborhood is not nice and nothing to do at night and extremely hard to get an Uber to cairo. Other way is easier!
Thank you very much Fariha for your feedback! We can understand that the area can be intimidating when you're not used to handle people offering you to buy stuff at every street corner. It's a very local and poor area, but it's still totally safe (no violence, no pickpockets). This is part of the experience if you want to wake up with a view on the pyramids. Kindly note that Uber can be hard to get in general for different reasons, that's why we also provide our own private drive service.

Verified reviewThis hotel is very comfortable and nearby the Pyramids and anything else you decide to book for very affordable tours. As a solo female traveler the location is generally safe & quite busy & close knit community. The Jimmys (the father and sons that run it) are interactive and very friendly knowledgeable hosts, as well as Ms. Anna who booked my taxi to the hotel and let me know about anything before my arrival, and the receptionist Naser who gave me a plethora of ideas to do and helped me translate on solo adventures before leaving the hotel & out alone. Security is also funny & helpful. Breakfast is very good and healthy, tastes like you’re at someone’s mother house! Tour guides with a driver were affordable and very nice to hang out with and booked through the hotel. I ended up with Faruq and Mohammed who were excellent guides and knows a lot of history.
Do not compare this stay to a luxury hotel. Despite it’s cute and comfortable here, tik tok/online shows just the rooms… you will be in the center mix with the locals, and not isolated. If you’re a traveler that doesn’t want to see that side of the real unique atmosphere Egyptians offer, gooo somewhere else lol
Thank you a lot Eboni for your detailed and very honest review! It was a real pleasure to host you :)

Verified reviewVery clean and cozy rooms. It was quiet and we got a good night sleep. The food was great, maybe a bit pricy. The view from the rooftop is absolutely breathtaking. Everything was exactly as advertised on the pictures. Staff very nice and helpful.
The pick-up fare from the airport is a little high for Egyptian standards. We got a taxi on our own back to the airport and it was less than half the price.

Verified reviewI can’t say how nice it was to come here to Egypt and not have to think. With Jimmy Pyramids, you don’t just get a stay in a great hotel, but you get the full experience. I’m talking the family vibe, the authenticity, the home-cooked traditional dishes (amazing btw) up on their rooftop, the regular check-ins to see if I’m ok, the organised tours, the organised drivers whenever I want. Everything. Not to mention the view of the pyramids to wake up to! It is exactly what I wanted and I will be recommending Jimmy Pyramids to everyone that I speak to. Thank you for everything Jimmy family!
