Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is welcoming, and the view of the pyramids is truly breathtaking. A perfect spot for anyone looking for great hospitality and an unforgettable view!

IrelandI had the pleasure of staying at this small hotel just a stone’s throw from the Pyramids of Giza, and it was truly unforgettable. As an Irish traveller, I’ve stayed in many places, but this one stood out for its warmth and authenticity. The location couldn’t be better—you can literally see the pyramids from the rooftop, which makes breakfast and evening tea feel like something out of a dream. The staff were incredibly welcoming, treating me more like a friend than just a guest. They were always happy to share local tips, arrange transport, or simply have a chat about Egyptian life and history. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, spotless, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay after long days of sightseeing. What I appreciated most was the personal touch—you don’t get that in the big chain hotels. If you’re looking for a cosy, affordable place with unbeatable views and genuine hospitality, this little hotel is a gem. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo who wants to be close to the magic of the pyramids but still feel at home.

United StatesYo, if you’re planning a trip to Cairo and wanna be right next to the Pyramids, this hostel is the move! I stayed here for a few nights and honestly, it was way better than I expected. The view from the rooftop? Straight-up insane — you can literally chill with a drink and stare at the Great Pyramid like it’s no big deal. 🔥 The vibe is super laid-back, the staff are mad friendly, and they really go outta their way to help you out with tours, rides, or just advice on where to eat. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and the AC saved my life in that Cairo heat. 10/10 would recommend!

ItalyThe staff was fantastic and available, everything was great, the location can be sketchy; nevertheless it’s located in front of the Pyramids, also just a few meters away from the entrance. We recommend it!

United StatesIt's very clean, the staff always with a smile, available to help, close to shops, groceries, restaurants, ATMs, entrance to the pyramids, but the best is the view, full view of the pyramids and Sphinx. It is not a luxurious hotel but it has the basics, what a person needs on a trip.

TurkeyBeacuse of the abundance of camels and horses around the area, the streets are dirty, but this obviously is beyond the hotel's jurisdiction.
I genuinely enjoyed my time in Royal Golden Pyramids Inn. The staff is available 7/24 and they are quite attentive to your needs. The location of the hotel is great, it is right next to the tickets office for the pyramids. The view from the roof is magnificent, possibly one of the best in entire Giza area.

AustraliaLocation is excellent, right opposite the Pyramids and just next to the entrance. Great views from the restaurant. Breakfast was good. Staff were attentive and polite. Room was clean and water provided daily. There's no better view of the Pyramids than from this hotel (and perhaps its direct neighbor). Sitting on the rooftop for breakfast or enjoying an afternoon coffee with a direct view of the Pyramids and Sphinx is absolutely breathtaking. Our rooms (we had a room with direct view to the Pyramids) were clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast-served in traditional Egyptian style- was delicious. If you're looking for a hotel close to the Pyramids, here you are in the first row. I would definitely book again!

Canadathey bought us sandwiches that save us time. but they costed 5USD each.
they gave us a family room for three pwesons. it has a living room. and the two beds are big enough to sleep two persons each. All the rooms are newly decorated. the owner must have spent a lot of money on it. the rooftop view was incredible. we were overlooking the facade of the Sphinx! and able to see the light show. 9 pyramids can be seen from here. you don't need to go to the view point.

United StatesThe front desk staff was friendly but pushy about booking tours or ordering overpriced food at the hotel. The tours they push for the river cruise, for example, is $40, when an actual ticket is like $11 and an uber would cost $2. In typical Egyptian style, they charged me an unexpected 30% at check in, claiming it was for tax. In what world is tax 30%? Obviously just grabbing cash. The room was still inexpensive ($8/night) so I didn’t complain, but you should know what to expect. Finally, while sitting on the fence about whether I felt okay about the hotel’s behavior or not, at check-out, a greasy old man who was sitting with the staff (and so I assume works with the hotel in some way) came over snd told me I should give some money to the cleaning staff. I’ve been to some extreme budget hotels in my travels and never has someone pulled that one on me. Typical behavior for the area. I told him I already paid for the room and the ridiculous tax so I found it very rude for him to ask me to pay more. The view from the hotel was quite nice and price was cheap but between the tax and the crusty old guy, really annoyed me and ruined my experience there. Would not recommend for more than 1 night.
Location is right next to the pyramid plateau entrance. Roof top terrace has an excellent view- especially for the light show every weekend. Room was ok and ac worked well.

United KingdomWhen we arrived at the hotel, the owner tried to overcharges and even when I corrected him with the amount on Booking.com, he still tried to overcharge us saying more money for Tax Also, the shower was a dribble so not very good And the pictures for the room for very misleading as it wasn’t much of a landmark view
The location of the property was brilliant. Could clearly see the pyramids from the rooftop.

BelgiumNoisey till late late in the night outside the hotel. Really, really need double glazing on the doors and windows. If they installed that i think they could have a real advantage over other hotels in the area. I would pay extra for that. Noisey inside the Hotel when people arriving in the middle of the night. I understand if locals can sleep through that stuff, but for the love of God, don't be talking loudly in the hotel corridors at 3am. Like what are we doing people? Talk to guests in the lobby downstairs, then bring them to the room. Do not be giving full reception right outside my door at 3am! Confusing name of the hotels in the area.
Great location. Area is very noisy at night, but that is beyond the hotels control. If you are looking for clean modern rooms, right next to the pyramids then this does it. Great view. Clean, new rooms. Fresh beds, towels, hot water, everything you would expect from a modern hotel. Staff helpful, informative, and not pushing extras (guides cars etc) they have them available, let you know, but don't push it.
