How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location of the accommodation is fantastic — you can enjoy stunning views of the pyramids. The staff were very accommodating, even when I arrived at midnight. They arranged a reliable driver for the airport shuttle and kindly allowed me to check in early at 4 a.m. They also let me store my baggage when I went on a two-day, one-night desert tour, which I really appreciated.
I had two issues during my stay. First, the shower in my room didn’t work properly, even though there was a hot water machine. Fortunately, the weather was warm every day, so it wasn’t a major problem for me. Second, the tour guide (driver) recommended by the hotel was disappointing. He took me to the pyramids, but I ended up being scammed by one of his friends for a camel ride. Even though I asked about the price in advance, he was with the person who overcharged me. I ended up paying an unreasonable amount for just a 30-minute ride. I recommend future visitors arrange their own tours instead of relying on guides introduced by the hotel.

Verified reviewThis is a sweet hotel. My sister and I were in Cairo for a few days to see the sacred sites. The location of the hotel is fabulous - about a 1.5-minute walk to the gate of the Giza Plateau. Not only was this great for being near the pyramids, but it was also a good location to have taxis drop us off when returning from other adventures (like the museum in Cairo). There is a view of the Menkaure and Khafre pyramids, plus the sphinx, from the rooftop terrace. Excellent service by the staff; they are lovely and friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. I would return there again; excellent value for the price.
The shower pressure wasn't great, but we managed. There was some noise sometimes at night from children playing outside late at night (not associated with the hotel), but I guess that's unavoidable.

Verified reviewBreakfast is delicious. You can see Giza pyramid on the top floor. The hotel can provide laundry service with acceptable price.
There is no elevator and the hotel is on third floor. Hotel location is hidden in alley, it's hard to find.

Verified reviewThe breakfasts were not too plentiful, but they were sufficient and tasty, served on the hotel rooftop with a view of the pyramids — which would basically make up for even an unappetizing breakfast :) The entire staff was always extremely polite and helpful, providing service of a high standard. The bedroom had air conditioning, though unfortunately the fridge wasn’t working — but there are shops with cold drinks just below the hotel. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The hotel is located just a 3-minute walk from the entrance to the Giza complex. The area is quiet and away from traffic. Our stay was during Ramadan, so life started in the evening and continued until late, but it didn’t disturb our rest. There was always hot water, the room was cleaned, and towels and bed linen were changed.
It was a wonderful experience to stay in a family-run hotel, to spend time with and get to know the local residents, their neighbors, and everyday people on the street. Warm greetings to you all!

Verified reviewThe location is super close, in town with near by atm machines. The staff smiled and was very friendly and helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and neat.
We arrived late and I am sure that is why things did not go as we would have liked. We were not shown how to turn on the air conditioner and it was hot. It did work as we found out the next morning. One of our rooms had toilet paper, one did not. There was no "office" we arrived late, and so could not ask for some tp. We did not try the wifi. For the price it is an absolute steal and clean so we were glad we stayed, but one night was enough..
thanks for the nice words but 6 out of 10 is not good enough as well after a late check-in at 2 am and you asked for the air-conditioning and I told you yes it's working but I should go for all the rooms (3 rooms) at 2 am to let them know that air-conditioning working , I bring water and your friends asking for many other things but no one ask for toilet paper I have stuff working in the night

Verified reviewThe location is perfect, 100 meters away from the enterance of Giza Necropolis. The hotel has a nice terrace with pyramids view, only one pyramid is not fully visible. The breakfast was simple, not bad. Environment is quite, you wake up with bird sounds. Tne area is safe; there are men who are trying to sell things and insisting in all around the streets but this is how Egypt is, after we got used to it, we felt safe; they are very insistent but not thieves.

Verified reviewThe views from the rooftop
It feels illegal to stay there. No reception, no staff, no credit cards accepted... The most uncofortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I had to shower with cold water in january several times because hot water didn’t flow from the taps. Everything is dirty. The views are only on the rooftop. From the rooms you can’t actually see the pyramids (which is the main highlight they have and the only reason you would stay in such place so far from Cairo and in such poor conditions). The staff was nice though.
dear guest ,i think 40 dollars for 3 nights double room including breakfast is not 5 star hotel price reception working 24 hours heater in each room but you should turn it on or asking help from the staff, no one over 5 years complaining about the bed or the mattress for all the rooms .i think you should check with a doctor maybe the bed is not the problem .next time try to book 300 dollars 5 star hotel if you have pennyworth

Verified reviewThe hosts were absolutely amazing. Great communication, super friendly - they really treated us like family. Happy to help w.tours and fares... The location was perfect. 3 min walk to the Pyramids gate. Great rooftop - nice view of the pyramids, perfect for breakfast, (which was fresh & yummy), quiet and safe street. We celebrated New Years Eve there - so fun. Giza is overall a bit run down. Hotel is showing some ware and age. Well worth the money. Would definitely stay again & recommend to others.

Verified reviewThe location is almost perfect. 2 of the 3 piramids can be seen from the roof terrance but not the biggest one. The holtel located about 50 meters from the main entrance to the Giza piraminds. Breakfast is traditional and great. Room is good size for a double room. The room was very clean even with european standards. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Bathroom has a proper shower not with the sit on toilet shower.
Beautiful building but no elevator and the room is on the 4th floor so if you can't use stairs it's not for you. The street is not the cleanest but if you go to Egypt you have to accept it.

The wardrobe was super dusty, so we didn't use it. It is a minor thing easily fixable. The road to get to it is smelly and dirty.
