How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewIncredible Stay at Pickalbatros Royal Moderna – 5 Stars! 🌟 We had the most amazing family holiday at Pickalbatros Royal Moderna, made even more special by the incredible staff who went above and beyond for us. A huge shoutout to the room cleaner for room 1137 – his towel animals were absolute masterpieces and brought big smiles to our kids every day. His attention to detail was second to none! In the dinner hall, Seyd was fantastic – always attentive, friendly, and quick to help. Special mention to Omar, the young man cleaning the hall – such a polite and hardworking lad who always had a smile on his face. There truly is something for everyone of all age groups at this resort. There are small and medium slides perfect for younger kids, while the aqua park is brilliant fun for adults and older children. The entertainment is enjoyable and well organised, and there are also two great kids’ parks where little ones can run around and have fun. Rajab at the diving centre was excellent – professional, knowledgeable, and made the experience both safe and exciting. Over at the Columbus Bar, Zakira Ibrahim impressed us daily with his beautiful coffee patterns – a true artist! At the sports bar, Mahmood worked so hard every night on his own, serving fantastic drinks with a smile – the kids loved the whole atmosphere thanks to him. The massage team were also top-tier – Waheel gave an outstanding sports massage, and the whole team were so kind and patient with the kids, which really added to our relaxation. Special thanks to Ahmed, the manager, for arranging a complimentary late check-out – such a generous gesture that made a big difference to our departure day. And a big shoutout to Ayman at reception, who was friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist. This resort is beautiful and well-maintained, but it’s the staff who truly make it exceptional. We can’t wait to return!

Everything felt seamless, luxurious, and well thought out. We travelled with our four-year-old daughter, and the resort could not have been better suited for families. From the slides to the water parks, everything was perfectly designed to keep little ones entertained and safe — she had an absolute blast every single day. A special mention must go to Mohmed Matoaly from room service, who went out of his way to make our stay extra special. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel truly valued as guests. Overall, Pickalbatros Royal Moderna delivered a perfect family holiday — we left with wonderful memories and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Verified reviewMr. Ahmed at the reception was very polite and helpful when I experienced a health problem. He followed up with me and provided every possible comfort for me and my family. We truly enjoyed our stay. All the hotel staff were also very cooperative and kind. The pools and floors were kept exceptionally clean, with constant maintenance. I would also like to thank Mr. Ahmed at the clinic, who took all the necessary measures to follow up on my case.
The rooms are worn and look a bit old. Breakfast is repeated over three days (Duration of our stay)

Verified reviewThe hotel is absolutely perfect for a family trip. There are plenty of water games for children, a variety of pools, and the sea is beautiful, clear, and full of colorful fish. The rooms are spacious and the service goes above and beyond, especially from Elhuseiny Ragab at the reception, who provided excellent, professional, and kind assistance throughout our stay.
