How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI found Rami to be a genuine and honest guy. His accommodation was reasonably priced and while there I was also able to book tours with him and have him as our guide through his tour company which was also good value and very convenient. Rami is a great communicator and was always contactable. He actually made proactive contact initially after the booking, which was great and very reassuring. Being a local he knows the area intimately and has many connections so can help get you in the "express queue" and special discounts. The guest house is a family business and the personalised hospitality is so welcoming, it makes you feel like part of the family. It helped make it an authentic Egyptian experience. Mumma cooks the best Egyptian food, you will never go hungry. A special thank you to Rami, the family, all the employees we dealt with and also Magdy the driver who got us everywhere safe in the Egyptian traffic. Everyone was great and we really enjoyed our trip. I would definitely recommend Rami's "Pyramids Temple Guest House" and "Rami's Insight Tours".
There were no issues and everything was great, the only negative was that the power sometimes goes out in Egypt in the peak of Summer meaning there is no air con but it does come back on after a little while, however its all part of the experience. :)
Thanks alot 🙏

Verified reviewEverything about my stay at Pyramids Temple Guest House was amazing. Terrace views, big comfortable bed, all the facilities, delicious home cooked meals. Last but not least, Rami and his family were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel at home. On top of that, Rami organised a private tour for my short stay, including airport pick up and drop off, which made my trip completely stress free and very enjoyable.

If stairs are a problem, maybe not the place for you.

Verified reviewI loved so much about this guesthouse! Rami and his family are incredibly kind and hospitable, the rooftop is beautiful with incredible views of the pyramids, especially over sunset. It’s quiet and clean. The food is good and if you need anything booked or a guide, Rami is your man. Great value for money too!
A little far from Central Cairo
Thanks alot 🙏

Verified reviewRami and his family provide 10/10 hospitality. So kind, generous and HONEST. I had my reservations after reading about him on one blog, but everything turned out to be true. After experiencing the cattle tours everyone else goes on and a private one with Rami, I wouldn't hesitate to tell people to just organise your Egyptian stay and tours with him and his team. Everyone working with him is fair and caring, his guesthouse homely and spotless, and it is a FULL SERVICE including all your transfers, food, laundry and worth every cent. Thankyou Rami and family and team!
Bed is a bit too soft and springy for my liking, difficulty sleeping due to proximity to the religious broadcasts everyday (however a common problem everywhere in the area) and roof shaking loudly when winds were strong.
Thanks alot 🙏

Verified reviewEverything... People were super kind and the room and the balcony, everything was as in the description and pictures. They helped me also in organizing the pyramids trips and taxi drivers. Also, although I was staying just for two nights they arranged me free transfer from the airport, which actually turned out to be very far.. The location of the guesthouse is also perfect. You can go to the pyramids by foot in no time. Another awsome thing was the homemade breakfast and I also get a lunch in the day. Highly recommend 😊

Verified reviewThank you Rami and your lovely family for welcoming two Irish ladies into your home. I highly recommend this accommodation for first time women travellers - you will be well taken care of - but really this is a great spot for anyone looking for a good value and simple needs-met accommodation that is also right beside the pyramids. Yes, you will be eating your breakfast while gazing out at this world wonder. Rami's mother is an amazing cook - and we were treated to some of the best Egyptian home-cooked delights. By booking this place, you will get a chance to experience true Egyptian flavour in all the senses.
I think this welcoming and cosy home reflects the price perfectly.
Thanks alot 🙏

Verified reviewThe view of pyramids was amazing! Walking distance to pyramids ticket office/entrance. Shops/restaurants on door step. Absolutely amazing hosts! Great service & breakfast. We will definitely return here. Variety of tea & toiletries provided. If something is not working, it is tended to immediately or you will be alternatively accommodated in the interim.
There are 5 flight of stairs to get to them, no lift. However your bags will be carried up/down. We did appreciate the exercise.
Thanks alot 🙏

Verified reviewRami is the best host we had in Egypt, he made us feel at home at his oasis guest house in Giza. We would definitely stay with him again and we recommend arranging all your tours with him - he took us to the pyramids and the sphinx, to saqqara and to downtown as he is very knowledgeable and knows his way around local customs. Thank you, Rami, hope we see you again soon!
Absolutely nothing

Verified reviewForget what you heard about Egypt and egyptians about all the scamming stuff! These people treated us like part of the family! We asked for a transfer to the hotel and the owner Rami came there to pick us with 2 bouquets of flowers! When we arrived at the guest house he already had ordered a dinner for both of us. So kind! The room was huge! There was really strong AC (at some point we were even cold so we had to turn it off), TV, window, big and comfy beds and really nice decorations! The bath was amazing as well. We had not only shower gel, shampoo and conditioner but also cotton pads for make up removal, nail remover, clippers, cleansing face gel and so on! Just amazing! Out the room there were two fridges one with cold water and one with fresh fruits. We were allowed to grab whatever we want at any time of the day. Our reservation included only breakfast but there wasn't a single day where we weren't invited to have lunch/dinner with the whole family. Rami's mom cooked everyday some traditional meal and they always invited us to join them! The food was so delicious! The view from the two terraces was breathtaking! Rami's family were all so kind and caring! Thank you, you amazing people! Also for the trips - Rami has got your back. He can take you wherever you want, included transportation. Everything was perfect! We had such a great time there!
Thanks alot brother and sister your home in Egypt available in anytime 🙏

Verified reviewPyramids temple guest house is excellent. Everything about this place is perfect: the view, the staff, the room and breakfast. Mr Rami treated us with delicious lunch when we arrived, and picked us up from the GoBus station in Cairo. At the house unlimited water is available, which was so awesome!! Life saver in this heat. I genuinely recommend this house. Thank you!
