Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing wasn't as expected considering the price of the accomodation.
Location was ideal for a quick one night in and out for the Giza area and what it offers. The hosts/staff are great , super helpful and accomodating , nothing was too much trouble and they were there to help in every way.

AustriaThe description is a bit overrated, we I read "suite" I expected a bigger surface at disposal, subdivided in at least two area. the Jacuzzi is just in the sleeping room, not so convenient (we did not try it). The furniture is basic, for four people you do not have enough space for seating etc. The breakfast is good, but every morning it is absolutely the same (unless they finish some ingredient), so if you stay there more than 2-3 days it becomes too repetitive. The offer of restaurants in the area is very limited.
The location is very good (walking distance) for visiting the Gizeh Pyramids and the grand Egyptian Museum (beware: it is really overpriced, 37,5 Euro a ticket, just to visit the entrance hall and the main stair, not open yet), not so good to visit other parts of Cairo, too far from everything. The staff is very friendly, it's pleasant to cross them in the corridors or in the morning at breakfast. Considering that it is in Cairo, it is relatively quiet.

PortugalThe street is in a poor state, you can barely see the pyramids (not the same as in the photos).
The breakfast was good for the price and the free transfer from the transport was very nice! The employers were also very nice with us.

United KingdomFirstly, this is not pyramids view (even though 90% of the hotels and guest houses in the area have Pyramids View in their name). This was more like pyramid view adjacent, or pyramids side view (if you crane your neck from the bedroom - some rooms had better view of them). Even from the balcony, the Pyramids could not be seen as it faces the opposite direction. Also, the name is different from that on the booking so finding it on Google for navigation made it a tad hard, especially when the full address doesn't show up on transport apps. Also, not the fault of the hotel, but entire road was going through road works, meaning that if you wanted a taxi, you had to walk to a nearby road (provided the taxi can get there). The staff were friendly, but do not mistake friendliness for kindness - we learnt very early that, unfortunately, most people are out here for themselves; so any information or recommendations provided, make sure to validate for yourself. Whether that's getting local food, or transport - and regarding transport, other than getting a transfer from the airport, I'd not recommend using the hotel car as the prices they drop for a 5 min ride are literally (LITERALLY) more than 10 times what local taxi would they to charge. Staying a night or two to be close to the pyramids would be good, longer may be more difficult if you were after more comfort and a slightly nicer area.
The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the location wasn't far for getting to the pyramids and sphinx. Considering the price, you get an okay experience, and the rooms were a good enough size with a clean bathroom. The WiFi was good enough and consistent.

United StatesIt was actually somewhat difficult to see the pyramids from this location. The guest house was on the 5th floor and the elevator was extremely slow and often we couldn't access it with the key that they gave us and would have to call for assistance in order to access it or walk up five flights of stairs. The hot water didn't work in the shower and we had to use another room near the front desk to shower with hot water in the morning which was extremely inconvenient for all of the reasons that you could imagine.
The staff were friendly enough and the room was clean. They tried to accommodate our needs and quickly handle our issues, but it was hard for them to create a truly good solution.

AustriaWell, on our booking it said the apartment is gonna have two rooms, one with two queen beds and one with a sofa (as we traveled with a baby and 3 adults), and that it is gonna be a big, cc 40 m2 apartment with kitchen facilities etc. However, there was only one room with 2 beds, and a small bathroom. There was also almost no warm water, it was not even enough for one shower. I complained but the receptionist did not understand English, so we had to speak with the manager on the phone, who finally gave us one more room.. but it was super stressful. The area is located close to the pyramids but far from everything else in the city (45-60 min by car), and it is a very noisy, busy and grey area of the city.
We liked the cleanness, the jacuzzi and the beds, they were comfortable. The view to the pyramids is also nice!

United KingdomWe had a very bad experience with this hotel on the first night. We arrived a few hours late due to delayed flights and originally were taken in to the hotel kindly, immediately paid and this is where things took a turn. We were told we were being transferred to a second 'branch' just down the road and were assured it was similar to where we had already stayed and had working WiFi. Once we got there essentially me and my family were pushed into a building which had no reception and no one from the hotel for the night. It was a scary experience in a dangerous area with no way to talk to the hotel staff until the next day. It in fact was nothing like what I had paid for and did not have working WiFi and when I argued this, I was told to take the broken WiFi box and go downstairs to a shop myself to get myself WiFi in a dangerous part of Giza that I had never even seen before. It was clear the hotel had overbooked for our rooms therefore took our money for the night then tried to shove us somewhere to cover up what had happened and not lose out on their profit. Once we were put into the right room a day late, although it was much better only complaints I would have are that the rainfall shower although lovely, does not fit in that bathroom and basically floods the bathroom and it is extremely noisy outside the windows do little to hide any sound. If the hotel had just been straight up with us about the mix up with the rooms and refunded me that one night, I would have left a much happier customer as the rest of the stay was fairly pleasant and was what I had expected and paid for if I'm honest.
Once put into the correct rooms (one night late), the rooms were what I expected and had booked. They had a nice modern layout and were nicely maintained. After the issue with the first night, we were provided with a 'complimentary pyramids light show' and some staff were very apologetic which I appreciate and is the reason this hotel isn't being given a 1 star review. Other nice thing is that even without booking a pyramids view room, there is one angle from the balcony which you can see the pyramids from. If I had been put into the rooms I paid for all along, I think I would have rated this hotel an 8/10 as it is nice for the area.

United StatesThe house was on the fifth floor of a run down building on a busy street. The view of the pyramids that we paid extra for was through a slit between buildings. The bathroom shower didn't work properly and toilet was leaking.
The staff was very nice and eager to please although the English was a little rough. The place was small and felt like a private guest house. The breakfast was traditional Egyptian and there was plenty of it.

United KingdomThe shower had a nice touch with many sprinklers attached to the wall but the issue is that it leaves a puddles outside the shower room. A shower curtain or fully enclosed shower would have been better.
We opted for the room with a hot tub. The room was a very good size and hot tub was great. The location was also good.

United Kingdomthe room they gave was noisy and i asked for a change which they kindly offered-but the bathroom boiler wasn’t working so i had to use the bathroom of the previous room-the bathroom drain was not functioning well and water slid down from the shower to the whole bathroom v quickly. they eventually fixed the boiler in the new room but very late at night and there was some rubble left outside the bathroom.
it had a modern finish, there was an elevator up to the rooms. the breakfast was such a pleasant surprise and a treat. Clean towels and beddings. the hosts were hospitable.

United KingdomThe room we booked was not the room we were given at all. it was very noisy we where next to the highway to which I didn’t sleep the first night and the second we ended up leaving and booking else where. The shower was broken in our room, so couldn’t even have a wash after travelling all day. I wanted to talk to the staff about the issues we were experiencing to give them a chance to redeem but no one was to be found, it’s like they checked us in and went home. Even on the first morning no one was in reception or to be seen anywhere within the property. The staff where rude they laughed in our faces on arrival after we struggled to find the place I tried calling and was being sent to voicemail wasn’t untill our Uber driver called twice to which they complained we didn’t use there taxi service that was double the price of what an Uber coast even with serval address changes as the address is wrong and they do not appear on google maps when you get out there. Do not wast your money!!!

EgyptBreakfast was very poor, and you have to chase it! House location is Easly to find but you have to keep awaiting minutes until someone come across and get room available within long minutes especially my arrival was late, around 10pm! The big issue is that facility I booked online is NOT the one I spent the two nights! I had booked additional three nights at closer facility/hotel with almost the same cost per night and my stay was totally different.
Nice welcome upon arrival!
