How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe view from the terrace was incredible! And the breakfast with such a view was really worth it. Marco and others were really kind & helpful throughout, never once did they push us for anything. The rooms were worth the price we paid & were comfortable
The property doesn’t have a lift, so could be a problem if someone books without noticing it, nothing else to complain.

Verified review1) Response to our queries is very fast. Marco handles requests through WhatsApp. 2) Fantastic view of The great pyramids from roof top restaurant. 3) Interior of rooms matches with the pictures.
1) Biggest issue: We were supposed pay the full booking amount while checking in into the hotel. Marco responded positively to my query on card payment before my travel. But, he never told me about an additional 10% charged by the hotel for card payments. He justified this on the amount charged by the bank for using card reader. I never saw additional bank charges as high as10% during my stay in Egypt. It was my first day in Egypt, directly from airport expecting to use card payment for complete booking. I believe Marco should have been transparent and informed me about it earlier. Request all travellers to enquire on extra charges before travelling to hotel. 2) Locality of the hotel. 3) Morning break fast has limited options. 4) Roof top restaurant looks dusty and not maintained. 5) No lift in the entire building. There are lot of steps to reach even reception. Not recommended for those who have knees probs. 6) Washroom is a let down.

Verified reviewTake the biggest room with 2 king size beds. That room is the best in the hotel. I wish to stay there longer. Very comfortable. We had window with little view on the Pyramids. Amazing shower, big bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. They have very nice rooftop with panoramic view on Pyramids. Thank you Marco!

Verified reviewRoom 201: 2x kingsize twinbeds. Airco for cooling. Nice room. Good shower. TV multichannel. Rooftop restaurant for enjoying the good breakfast with splendid view of the pyramids! Only short distance to pyramides or Grand Egyptian Museum Very quiet location. Street is somewhat hard to find (let taxidriver call hotel). Surroundings are in local atmosphere but OK. Management does a lot to make you feel welcome. For disabled people: lots of stairs. No elevator

First they are offering rooms in booking which is not exist (I didn't find pyramids kingdom hotel) and no one know it in the surrounding coz it's room in fact and not the one in booking website Secondly they they move you from room to other through your accommodation for silly reasons Each room in the building has different name as guest house or hotel so you can't find your hotel because someone else is using it Also no cleaning at all in the rooms even it's written in booking website daily cleaning No stuff professional no cleaning Even you find a problem in the room no solution or to change to worst room as always No changes towels or sheets even I am sure they are entering the rooms I didn't know why... and you have to buy toilet paper and try to cover it in the room or keep it with you to not lose 😅 You are enemy there if you are not paying tips 😂 They didn't care if you are comfortable or not Breakfast included I try it but in the end I avoid to keep it there coz I don't like it also the behavior there. The only good thing it's near to the pyramids
This guest when he booked two rooms with two different reservations he is Egyptian and she is Italian and when we suspected him we gave them a room on different floors and this really hurt the place and this is what made him angry and when he left the room it was very dirty He didn't want to clean the room. We hope don't have to host You again. Knowing that all hotel guests are happy with the cleanliness of the rooms, this means that your evaluation of us has no furniture and we always look forward to the best.

Verified reviewPyramids view from the terrace.
We booked a twin room and were given a double bed room. I arrived first in the middle of the night and when they showed my double room they said the water was not working on their twin rooms, and since we were a couple this wouldn’t be a problem- I think what we do inside the bedroom and how we sleep is our personal business, we booked a twin and expected a twin. At 3.30 am, alone and jet lagged I had no alternative as to accept the double bed. Also they failed to provide receipts / invoices for the accommodation and tours. There are plenty of hotels in the area, with similar view and within the same price range, I’m pretty sure you will find something better.
