Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThat I have to go back home :(
Just finished my holiday at Pyramids Gate Hotel and I am already missing them! This has been the best trip I have ever done so far. The managers, Islam and Hossam made me feel so welcomed and attended from the moment I reserved my room. They helped me get a driver to pick me up from the airport, they have a wonderful set of staff at the hotel always eager to help out in any way. My driver Mohammed was such a fun, nice, and knowledgeable man. They also provided an amazing Tourist Guide, Doa, who knows every single detail about Egypt! These two made me feel at ease knowing that I was in good hands. They took me to the real authentic Egyptian restaurants and taught me lots of tips and tricks to maneuver my way through Egypt. The room was perfect size, big bed with comfy white sheets, bathroom stalked with multiple towels, soap and shampoo, a dresser and hair dryer. They were even nice enough to get me a toothbrush within 5 minutes when I told them I had forgotten to bring. I asked about a gym and they took me to a great gym nearby within 5 minutes distance from hotel. This hotel has everything you can think or need of while exploring the great country of Egypt. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Giza! The pyramids are literally right in front of the hotel, with an amazing rooftop terrace giving panoramic views of the pyramids and Giza. I can go on for ever with nothing but great things to say about this hotel and my experience but now I encourage you to try it for yourself!

GuatemalaNothing. I love it.
Their service was extraordinary Islam ... Yousef ... Hosam ... Salah ... Ali... they made me feel like part of the family and supported me with anything I needed. It's very safe, and they’re always attentive to you. My wife felt very comfortable and secure. Ubers could easily reach the location, which made transportation easy. They even let me wait in a separate room after check-out while I waited for my flight — at no extra cost — since there were still many hours until departure. The view of the pyramids is stunning; even from the bathroom window, I could see the Great Pyramid of Khufu in the background. Everything was clean and well-organized, and if you need anything, they’ll get it for you. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Without a doubt, I would stay with them again. Thank you for making us feel so warmly welcomed in Egypt — you’ll always have a place in my heart.

CroatiaThe hallway is very hot because the roof is open type, and the room needs to be always AC cooled, otherwise you will sleep all sweaty. Going inside and outside from you room can be problem for those who have headaches from sudden temperature changes.
We liked the view that hotel has from the roof and all the staff was kind, Everything we needed, they brought us. It was easy to communicate with them. Overall, very good experience.

SlovakiaThe wifi wasn't great. It was very slow and not reliable. The breakfast was decent for the price I paid. The hotel is a bit hidden, so taxi drivers struggled a bit to find it.
Hotel was able to arrange my pickup from the airport. The room was very big and relatively quiet. The bottled water was provided and I got more when I needed extra. The view from the terrace was spectacular - you can see pyramids straight away.

GermanyThe food was actually a bit disappointing.
The one big plus is the view from the rooftop terrace and it is even better than on the pictures. Sipping your morning coffee or having a Shisha in the evening with a prime view on the pyramids is indeed amazing. The neighborhood is not the best, as Gizah in general, but totally worth for a night.

GermanyThe location wasn’t the best for getting into the city. The metro was out of service at the time, and taxi drivers consistently asked for $20 per trip. Luckily, speaking Arabic helped us negotiate better prices. The water in the shower didn’t drain properly, and the toilet flush had some issues as well.
The accommodation was simple and mainly just a place to sleep — nothing remarkable. However, the view of the Giza Pyramids was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The taxi drivers arranged by the accommodation were excellent. Saif, in particular, was a fantastic companion and driver who took us to various sightseeing places. He was always very polite and attentive.
