How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe view from the terrace where breakfast was served. Camera is comfortable, big and with functioning air conditioned.
The bathroom was really updated, with rusty parts that should be changed. The bnb is located in a very trafficked dirt road, the smell of horse sh*t is strong. There is a mosque just at the beginning of the street and the call to prayer is really loud: it's hard to sleep. The area in general is tough, even though you're very close to the Pyramids Site Entrance, walking there is not exactly a pleasure.

The road and local atmosphere reflect the authentic daily life of Giza, which can be quite different from more commercialized areas. However, we are continuously working with local authorities to improve access and cleanliness in the surroundings. Regarding the mosque and call to prayer, we understand it may be surprising for some of our guests. It’s an important part of the local culture and community, but we’re looking into ways to help improve sleep comfort, such as offering earplugs upon request. Verified reviewLocation: The guesthouse is strategically located—just a five-minute walk to the South Gate of the Pyramids. Hospitality: The hospitality and service provided by the manager were exceptional—he truly made our first day in Egypt memorable - very reliable and warm-hearted person! Whatsapp reply is very swift. Room: We upgraded to a room with four Pyramid views for a reasonable price. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The water pressure was strong and consistent, though the hot water supply decreased slightly when the second person showered afterward. Balcony: The balcony was huge and beautifully decorated. Having breakfast there with a Pyramid view was magical (the manager accommodated our early breakfast request). At night, the Pyramids lit up, and since we were the only guests, we had the balcony to ourselves—an unforgettable experience!

However, the owner is very creedy; he sells souvenirs for too high a price and lies about their quality to justify it. O, and don't ask for extra coffee at breakfast, they will not tell you, but after a while charge you quite a lot of money. I decided to inflict 4 penalty points.

Not really negative at all, but it is important to know that there is no elevator and it is a third floor. No room service neither, but they daily provide you with whatever supplies you ask them for (clean towels, dryer, ammenities, toilet paper, etc.). 100% lovely service.

Verified reviewEverything was great!! Prior arrival staff have reached out to ask if we need any help and shared contact details if ever we need anything. We have arrived bit late, no problems with check in and Ahmad waited for us with smile and offered cold drinks and gave us short talk about the place. The room was clean and had everything we needed, pyramids view and nice AC! In the morning we enjoyed great traditional breakfast, it was our choice between two, plenty of food with fresh orange juice on the roof with pyramids view was extraordinary! If you have any questions Ahmad and Mahmoud will give you the best answer! If you don’t have plans they can sort you out. We have also enjoyed traditional Egyptian wedding with Ahmad presence, unforgettable moments !!

Verified reviewThe host was very helpful. This is a new hotel so they are keen about receiving feedback and improving. The host lived in the same building so he helped us out and provided everything we needed. Taxi driver service was there too.
The host makes the breakfast but it could be improved. it was very simple and not very tasty. The room was on the third floor - no lift
