The water pressure in the shower was weak but this did not ruin our stay!

A beautifully designed boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Cairo. The rooms were very clean and beautifully designed, the roof top terrace offered a fantastic menu and lovely reprieve from the hustle and bustle below. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to those travelling to Cairo.

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful hotel — it’s truly one of a kind in Cairo! Everything about my stay was exceptional: the stunning interior design, the incredibly comfortable beds, the amazing rooftop, the delicious cuisine, and above all, the wonderful staff who made me feel so welcome. I travel extensively and stay in many hotels around the world, and I can confidently say this place is truly special. The location is fantastic too — just a 5-minute walk to the Egyptian Museum. A perfect 10/10 experience!

Not much really, perhaps a boost of their hot water system to accommodate the use of bathtub would be ideal.

Mazeej Balad is conveniently located in downtown Cairo, with easy access to markets, restaurants and the airport. The hotel has only got 5 rooms but the staff told me that they are in the process of expansion. Nevertheless, the rooms have their unique features and I was lucky enough to stay at the one with bathroom. They paid a lot of attention to details and basically I could just check in with my clothes and passport only (all the toiletries, bathrobes and slippers were provided)! I have to mention that their catering is superb; went there for drinks a few night before check-in, had dinner on the night I stayed as well as breakfast. Their juices are 100% fruits and fresh! As the first boutique hotel in Cairo, they have done a great job!

The rooms are modern, spacious, and beautifully designed. The rooftop is absolutely stunning. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service from the reception staff. They went above and beyond to assist with every detail, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience.

The only small downside was the dangling light next to the bed, which we both accidentally hit our heads on—something to keep in mind!

The design, décor, and art installations at the hotel are truly remarkable. Every corner is thoughtfully curated, creating an ambiance that is both stylish and immersive. We had both dinner and breakfast on the rooftop, and it was a wonderful experience. Service was absolutely impeccable. We felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout our visit. A special thank you to Omar Ismail, whose kindness and accommodating nature truly stood out, adding a personal touch to the outstanding hospitality. Overall, Mazeej Balad is a perfect blend of aesthetics, great food, and top-tier service. I highly recommend it and would love to visit again!

We L O V E D everything! Service, space, comfort. So welcoming that we came away with a family feel. Can't wait til our next visit.

The moment we drew up and looked into the lobby to see a lit chandelier, we knew that we had found something special. We loved the art on every wall and the beauty of the building itself. To say our room was divine is not an exaggeration. We have stayed in many hotels, boutique/ five star/ otherwise, and we honestly found this room a delight! Beautiful in design and decor that is incredibly comfortable and thoughtful. So many little touches. Then what a surprise to have our inclusive breakfast be such an event! So good we came back for lunch and dinner drinks and snacks too. We loved sitting in the sunshine amidst more eclectic, interesting and comfortable decor. It has to be seen to understand the wow factor! Great service with great coffee in the morning and vibrant buzzing cosmopolitan feel in the evening! Enjoy it at all times of day if you come. A very special boutique hotel.

Hot water issues the first night but the staff got the issue resolved moving forward.

I had a wonderful stay at Mazeej Balad Hotel in Cairo! The room was absolutely amazing—beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff were fantastic—Shad was super friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast spread was great, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day right.

Very unique and cute boutique hotel with 5 rooms only. It’s so cozy and really feels like home. Our room and hotel facilities were remarkable. Front desk and reception will make sure your stay is more than perfect and their services are on point. The rooftop is another story it’s really an add to the place and to Cairo downtown, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food was delicious and service was spotless 👌🏼
