Everything, the river, the village, the vibe, the family that owns the hotel, the boat ride.

We had a wonderful stay. The family was very welcoming and helped us plan all the activities we wanted to do, including day trips a few hours away! The rooftop offers absolutely incredible views.

The hosts are really nice. The place is very quiet so do not worry about the noise. It is located on the island. You can get the free boat riding when you check in and check out.

We have some problem about the floor drain at the first night. But the host solved it right after we tell them. The facilities are a bit dated, but still functional.

Great hosts and stay in Aswan! Great value for the stay. Although you need to go back and forth taking a boat to get there, the hosts would always help you (even at 2 am in the morning) :)

The bathroom is certainly small and the location is not that easy to get to, but the value is great and people make up for it. Quite happy with our stay!

Shower situation was a little different. Drain didn’t work well, shower is located too close to the toilet.

The property is located on Elephantine Island a very historic location dating back to 4,000 BCE. The view of the Nile is spectacular. The Labib’s were two of the most loveable people you’ll ever come in contact with. The rooms are up to date with AC and hot water comfort. Mourning breakfast always hit the spot with plenty of coffee and tee. The host will pick you up and take you back to Aswan in his motorboat. And when you leave the Island for Aswan visits it would cost only 70 pounds on the ferry . Great stay!

We will keep in mind Hamada's smile and kindness. This is a rustic place, but the beauty of the view on the terrasse is beathtaking. Host have been very responsive and really helpful. The location on Elephantine Island is not accessible by car, but it really creates a unique atmosphere and it's really calm and peaceful. Thank you for having us

The place is not big, but this is very authentic and lovely. Keep in mind if you travel there that you'll need to take the boat to go to the main city, but Hamada can provide a boat trip if needed, and public ferry (10 Egyptian pounds, so almost free) is 5 minutes walk from the guest house. To be honest I don't really see "defaults" or bad thing to say about the guest house.

    Property response:

    Thank you very much, dear.

Beautiful location, surprisingly accessible from east Aswan via public ferry (just 10EGP). Lovely vibe, authentic building. Very friendly family. Very clean. The view!!!

You need to have patience for breakfast. If you have a tight itinerary, consider skipping breakfast. Bathroom is a bit small (shower and toilet in same area)

A wonderful stay at Labib Guest House! Labib Guest House is an absolutely amazing place to stay! Its location on the island is perfect — peaceful, quiet, and ideal for anyone looking to relax and disconnect. The sunsets are simply breathtaking, a magical moment to enjoy every evening. What truly makes this place special, though, are the hosts. They are incredibly kind, caring, and always ready to help with anything you need. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island!

The location of Labib Guest House on the Elephantine Island is wonderful and peaceful. The owner is simply amazing: perfect hospitality and he helped us a lot organizing the trip not only in Aswan surroundings but also for the following days, on the Nile Cruise and Luxor. Super caring about his guests' needs.

This is a family owned and run guesthouse. The family is super friendly, super helpful and supportive, beyond expectations. Room was spotless, bathroom essential but with all the facilities. 100% recommended.

The room only had one window on the internal corridor, which can be a bit tricky if you are looking for a view.

Lovely guest house on Elephantina Island, overlooking the Nile, the beautiful mountains on the west bank of Aswan and the mausoleum of Aga Khan. The rooms are simple but very clean, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, fans and hot water. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace at any desired time. The guest house is only a 6 minute walk away from the ferry but if you inform Hamada, the kind and welcoming host, of your arrival time, he or one of his sons will pick you up with their own boat. Hamada can also help with any other reasonably priced trips you’d like to make. We can highly recommend a stay at Labeeb Guest House!

The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. It would be nice to have a mirror in the bedroom so that multiple people can get ready at once. I appreciate them accommodating us with our laundry. Loved the rooftop especially for the delicious breakfast.

Hamada and his family are helpful and relaxed hosts. The property is clean and has a wonderful view on the leas busy side of the island. The food was delicious and nourishing. We felt totally welcome and at ease in the guesthouse. It was a great relief from the business in the other parts of Egypt. There were no extra costs no pressure sales and Hamada made bookings including getting a private car and a boat ride clear and easy. We enjoyed walking through the little trails of the village to other nearby cafes, restaurants and ruins.

We liked everything but would have brought our own coffee as they didn’t always have it. They have a kettle that guests can use outside of the bedrooms.

The stay was perfect. The owners are super kind and very accommodating. They waited for us until 1am as we had late check-in. They gave us breakfast in small bags at 4am as we had a tour with an early pick-up. They called our guide to help with the pick-up of a tour. And they brought us to the other side of the river with their boat at 6am so that we don't have to cross the island with our luggage. These people are gold and will make sure that your stay there will be memorable!

The hospitality at this hotel was exceptional. Since the hotel is on an island, we informed them of our late arrival, and the owner personally picked us up from the ferry dock, even carrying our luggage. The room was clean and compact, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The bathroom was also clean, and there was hot water. The hotel had a beautiful terrace where they prepared breakfast at our requested time. When we wanted to visit the Botanical Garden, the owner’s son took us there by boat for a reasonable hourly fee. After exploring, we decided to visit Nubian Village, and once again, the hotel’s boat transported us. The boat ride on the Nile was magical, especially when they turned off the motor so we could listen to the birds. When we wanted to visit Philae, they arranged everything seamlessly. Since we couldn’t cross the dam by boat, they dropped us off on the mainland, where their partnered taxi driver was waiting for us. He was incredibly kind and talkative. From there, we took a boat named "Büşra" (which happens to be my name!) to Philae. The boat owner had pre-purchased our tickets, allowing us easy entry. After our tour, the taxi driver picked us up again, and we asked for a restaurant recommendation. He suggested Mekka Restaurant, where we had an excellent meal. In the evening, we explored the market and called the hotel owner, who sent a boat to pick us up. Their assistance in making transportation so smooth was truly valuable. On our last day, they allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel while we explored the city. Before our flight, the owner’s son brought our luggage to the ferry dock, and their partnered taxi driver took us to the airport. He was so kind that he even shared his own food with us. The hotel’s architecture, interior design, and overall ambiance were beautiful. They even made a special tea for us.

The only downside was that our room didn’t have a proper window. There was a small one, but it opened into the corridor where the room doors were located. This meant that no fresh air could enter, which was a shame because the island had such a lovely breeze. Also, when we opened the window, we could hear everything from the corridor, and anyone outside could hear us as well, so we had to be mindful of noise.

We loved everything about our stay here. It was clean and comfortable. And the host was super helpful. It was an amazing experience to use the boat to reach our hotel in the midde of the Nile. It takes only a few minutes and it’s totally worth it.

Breakfast was delicious but a bigger portion would be better.
