Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaDon't expect luxury accommodation, this is a desert experience. It was not a huge issue for us, but there is no hot water in the shower and no high speed Wi-Fi. We had some mobile connection.
We stayed in a beautiful mud-brick style hut right on the edge of a desert. The vibe was amazing and the location perfect for a desert experience. You can climb the sand dunes for the sunrise and sunset, it is spectacular, and the stars at night are incredible, especially while floating in the natural hot spring pool. We also had delicious dinner there and were greeted by friendly and accommodating staff and two sweet dogs. It was an unforgettable stay!

AustraliaThis is possibly the most magical place I have ever stayed in. I spent much time soaking in the on-site hot spring while gazing up at the stars, and watched the sunrise and sunset from the tall sand dune. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the food is great. A big thank you to Ahmed, the friendly and generous owner, as well as his staff, for making my stay incredible and for making me feel at home. A further thank you to Kareem who guided me on trips to the nearby salt lake, the Oracle Temple, the Roman tombs, as well as a wonderful safari into the desert where we watched a spectacular sunset. I can’t wait to come back to Siwa and to stay here again!

United StatesHayaat is an oasis within an oasis. It's such a special and beautiful place in an already special and beautiful place. One of the best places I've stayed!! No complaints at all! Everything was perfect and wonderful. I booked for 5 days but ended up staying two weeks. The staff was amazing and so much fun. I initially chose the place for it's location. It's definitely a little far but I thought it was worth it for the peace, quiet, the desert sand dunes, and the STARS. Can't overstate the stars. If you love to stargaze, just book this place because the night sky there is unbeatable. Theres also a giant sand dune on the campsite that you can climb for amazing views of the desert. And they have puppies!!!

United KingdomLocation is magical, right on the edge of Siwa with the desert stretching out in front of you, the room is big and comfortable fitted with warm Bedouin blankets for the cold night. There is a hot spring you can use whenever you like. The staff are amazing, and made our stay so comfortable with tea, coffee & breakfast. Mr Ahmed the owner is always there and happy to help organise lifts to the centre of Siwa or attractions. If you are looking for a place to stay for a few days to relax in somewhere beautiful and remote please choose Hayaat you will not be disappointed.

AustraliaGreat place to stay that is a little out of the way of the main city. Make sure to give the name of the hotel when grabbing a tuktuk as google maps really isn't great on the outskirts of town. The place was clean and tidy, and makes one of the most perfect retreat locations. At night when the stars come out it is absolutely amazing. Make sure to have devices and battery banks if visiting for more than a few days, there is no charging in the rooms upstairs, just a few pier outlets on the ground floor in places a little bit awkward. Apart from that the place will have everything needed for the adventure that likes to take off the beaten path. One of the greatest highlights is that it's right next to the sand dunes, as close to camping we you can physically get!

Ahmed and his crew of wonderful employees did a wonderful job hosting us during the stay breakfast was right on spot we also had a couple of dinners there fantastic food and service. All in all the location puts this place on top of the list for those looking for the real desert camp experience in Egypt.

The camp is very special and different from others. In a positive way. It combines the short way to the centre of oasis and 5 min to go up the sand dune and watch the sunset over the Sahara desert. The owner Ahmad is a great man to talk to and he cooks very good breakfast and an amazing dinner. And I am really picky with the food. There is a hot spring that is fantastic. You can also book the desert safari with the great guide right in the hotel. This is highly recommended and the price is good.
