A beautiful place, a five-minute walk from the hotel to the pyramids. Mr. Mahmoud’s reception was very good and met all my requests. A 10/10 stay.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The owners and staff were always available to help with anything you needed and could arrange any transport and guides for you. The guide that they got for us to see the pyramids and other archeology around Cairo was outstanding. Highly recommended (Rasha I think). Breakfast was on the roof terrace which overlook the Giza pyramids. The Egyptian breakfast was vast in variety and quantity. We stayed here in Giza for our whole time in Cairo to avoid the congestion in the city. The location is a quiet local neighbourhood inhabited by the horse and camel people. A good place to see local life

Communication was a bit of a challenge sometimes but always worked out OK

The loveliest hotel owners made this such a comfortable experience. I was able to organise transfers easily and the breakfast was made fresh and was delicious. The owners are so kind and generous and the view of the balcony overlooks the pyramids. Amazing value for money

    Nothing of note

I'm still in doubt about the stars to put in, maybe less would be better, since there are positive but also many negative aspects. But we were also at the end of our trip thus probably tired. + We arrived at the place late (00.30am) and fortunately they were waiting for us, so we truly appreciated it. + Room has double curtains for the window, mini fridge, TV, and hygienic shower as bidet. If you ask, they can provide 1.5l bottles at a fair price. + They also prepared breakfast at a fair price. And what a breakfast!! Beans, omelette, baba ganoush, falafel and pita bread, a very huge and fulfilling one, we were full until dinner. + The host's mother was such a genuine person, the best part of that days, she cared for us a lot like if we were her sons, offering tea and fruit and being kind all the time, even though she speaks mainly Arabic. + Another positive aspect was the location for the pyramids and the view from the terrace, where you can see and enjoy the pyramids' view (only 2 unfortunately).

Nevertheless, there have been factors that made our experience less wonderful than expected. - Communication difficulties, the owner doesn't speak English fluently, so chatting on WhatsApp was difficult. Questions were left with no answers or answers were not in time sometimes (e.g. to pay for the breakfasts, we got the answer while sleeping, so we left money in the room at the checkout). When his mother was in the hotel, we spoke through Google translate or thanks to another guest's translation. - A few misunderstandings also occurred (we asked about dinner options in and outside the hotel, and while waiting for messages in the chat, his mother arrived with a typical dish that she prepared or delivered. At 18.30. We didn't ask to make it, but it was ready so we ate anyway and of course we paid). - As in all Egypt, the host offered some services that were overpriced (like dinner for 10$ per person), but the key one was for a transfer to Sphinx Airport, demanding 18$. We said we had only EGP and he changed the price by looking at the black market change and NOT at the official one, doubling the official price. We declined and instead of paying 1100 we paid 240 EGP in total by using Careem. It's not easy in Egypt when you cannot be helped even by your host. - The room on the ground floor close to the main entrance was ok, even though Wi-Fi was not available for 3 days at all, and pillows or synthetic blankets didn't help for sleeping (I normally sleep everywhere with few issues, thus having difficulties for 3 nights made me think about it). Also I felt a bit unsafe thus my nights weren't the best ones, as our window can be easily opened from outside as well as all the main entrances. Main entrances cannot be closed or locked, only your room door. There was also no one at the reception all the time, the host probably has another job, and his mother was there only a few moments of the day.

I had such a wonderful stay at Farida Pyramids. Amina (she is the owner) is the nicest woman I’ve ever met. She has such a genuine heart and is so loving and caring. She did everything she could to make my stay perfect and to keep me safe as a solo female traveler. The view from the hotel is great as well, as the pictures already show. I really enjoyed my time here and hopefully I will return one day, inshallah.

Location isnt the best, at 4.30pm around 50 camels and horses that works in the pyramids stay in front this place. For taxis and Uber is very difficult to access this place. Some photos of the place doesnt correspond with reality. No internet during my stay.

Great place to stay in Giza for exploring the pyramids/Giza area. The family who run the hotel are so lovely and very welcoming and helpful. The available egyptian breakfast (costs US$4 pp) is so delicious and is absolutely massive, would highly recommend it. You can also see the pyramids from the terrace and the sunsets were beautiful

There are lots of horses and camels around the area that are used for trips to the pyramids that are not in the healthiest of conditions

Everything! I am very enthusiastic about this place. Amina ('Mimi') and Nasser, the historical owners, are absolutely ADORABLE. Amina makes the BEST (& huge) breakfast in town and Nasser is a very nice person to talk to in English (former doctor in Saudi Arabia). They taught me a bit of Arabic. The room is very comfortable with private bathroom that is well-equipped. All super clean. But the climax is definitely the view. Direct view on the pyramids with beautiful flower-tree in front of it & the light show at night. My day was already a success after having a delicious breakfast in front of the pyramids. The place is very cute in itself. Amina and Nasser arranged everything for me (transfer, guide, etc) with their son and nephew. The area may look a bit dodgy at first but it is actually really traditional and OK. Everyone was very nice. The only 'discomfort' may be the smell sometimes: camels and horses are 'parked' in front of the hotel (for tourists around the pyramids). I don't mind personally, it's more quiet than moto bikes and that creates very funny scenes with people galloping on their horses or colorful camels. Loved it.

The fact that I had to leave. I felt at home with my grandparents to overfeed me.

The owners of the house are wonderful, kind people who treat you like it's your home. Their breakfasts are huge and filling. It's about 40 minutes away from the airport, but in an interesting part of Cairo, where you can see life at its fullest. Great view of the Pyramids!

The view is priceless. The sunset spectacular. You can't get much closer. Very friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast. Large terrace. Clean room. Good value for the money. The surroundings look like you are in a village. Once you enter the house it's another world though.

The owners of the place are simply amazing. The hotel is very close to the pyramids, so was very convenient.

There was a lot of noise outside the hotel at night, but this is not the property’s fault at all.

The hosts were very kind and accommodating. The bedding was clean, the bed confortable, and there was even a space heater that ensured we didn't freeze during the cold winter nights. The breakfast is generous in size, you will not go hungry! The inn is on the last street next to the compound with the pyramids - it's a very rural street where you will see a lot of animals (camels, horses), it's a very rustic experience . The place was reasonably quiet and we could rest at night. The hosts also arranged a driver for us to take us to visit Saqqara pyramids - Mahmoud was a pleasure to spend time with and we had a lovely trip and experience with him.

very nice hosts, great breakfast (incl foul and the best falafel ever). lovation is perfect for visiting the pyramids. hosts organized 2 day tours for us, which were fantastic and price was good. surrounding is very authentic - a pleasure for world traveller like us. you can walk to the south entrace of the pyramids area in around 10 minutes. we were here in wintertime, so bring warm clothes, breakfast is on the terrace. you can heat the room with the ac. this is a authentic place which is reflected by the low price. small shops for snacks and water are nearby. if you have a problem with animal cruelty, the surrounding is no place for you.

Very prompt in answering any queries that we have. Can view the Light & Sound pyramids show from the rooftop

Location seems a bit unsafe due to a lot of boys/men hanging around outside the street as the stables are close by. Very quiet street. If you have sensitive nose, smell from stables might affect you
