Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaI wanted to stay longer. I didn’t like that I had to leave.
I have been travelling all over the world for the past 5 years and have stayed in a lot of hotels Airbnbs, etc. and Eyaru Palace was one of the best experiences I've had. It is family run by a local Egyptian family who treat you like family. The owner and manager, Nour, went out of their way for me a number of times. They organized tours for me, prepared breakfasts, found me transportation and were happy to do whatever they could to make my stay memorable. This was the best of Egyptian hospitality. The people are the most important part of this hotel but also note- -the Egyptian breakfast is delicious and plentiful, -the hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. -The view of the Nile is gorgeous, -there is a large swimming pool. -it is peaceful and quiet. The hotel is away from the main centre but it is cheap and easy to get a taxi when needed

BelgiumThe manager and his staf were kind and would do absolutely everything to help you. The hotel was outside the very busy and loud citycenter, what we wanted. Tour operators came to pick us up at the hotel, so distance is not a problem. We enjoyed the lovely rooms, good kitchen and the beautiful view on the nile.

The cab we booked didn't show up at the airport so we phoned the Eyaru Palace who sent a cab straight away., the original wasn't booked through the hotel. From the minute we arrived it was like coming home, Nour the manager, Sara his wife, also an excellent chef and is helping hand couldn't do enough for us. We will be returning when we can.

United KingdomStill a new hotel so patchy internet and no central system but we have found that it is often the case in Egypt even in bigger hotels.
The staff was exceptional! Friendly, welcoming and helpful at every levels. The location was peaceful and quietly situated just outside of Luxor. Excellent homemade Egyptian food for dinner was a real highlight too! And overall the decor was homely and fun.

RomaniaWe had the best time, it was the highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They were so nice kind and helpful. The place was clean, an amazing view on the nile and very calm. Nour was really helpful and so nice, he helped us to explore the West side and even drove us to our bus station later on. The food is really great, dinner is exceptional and one of the best food we ate during our whole trip. Will be looking forward to come again and very grateful that I got the chance to meet such amazing people.

NetherlandsBecause the hotel recently opened it still has some points of improvement; - The blinds let through a lot of light, and there is an opening above the door that let's through light so it's very difficult to make the room completely dark. - Someone has to open the gate everytime you get back to the hotel, and because there is limited parking on the hotel properly you'll have to park outside of the gate - It is somewhat difficult to find the hotel due to a lack of signs, and it is not on Google Maps yet. The staff knows about these points and are very proactive in trying to improve the hotel, so I'm confident that this promising hotel will be better and better with every guest.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the location with the view on the Nile is amazing. Breakfast was included and very good, and the room was comfortable. Once the WiFi was set up by the hotel staff it worked nicely.

AustraliaThe wifi connection at times was a bit iffy but was good to disconnect from the outside world, so I didn't mind.
The staff exceeded all expectations and went above and beyond in regards to hospitality. I genuinely had a wonderful time in Luxor because of them, I miss the dogs and the horse, which was a wonderful addition to my stay. In regards to my room, I don't think I could have picked a better place, the view of the Nile was breathtaking! the bathroom and bed were also just as beautiful. I truly wish all the staff all the success in the world and will definitely return.

United KingdomThe room was a little cold but it was cooler than normal in Egypt for this time of year.
Although it was a bit out of the way from Luxor centre it was great to come back and not have the noise from the centre. It was very peaceful and a beautiful location. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and always had a smile. Sahra is such a wonderful cook and everything was cooked fresh everyday. There was so much of it and the evening meal was worth the money. Nour took us on a number of trips and he was very informative about Luxor and the surrounding area. He took us to local areas so we experienced the local culture and met local people. He and Sahra work very hard and always had time to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is a beautiful spot on the Nile and the staff were fantastic.

BelgiumDon't recommend eating or using hotel taxis, they charge double (or often more than double) for anything (a taxi to the centre with them was 600 while with anyone else it was 300 (egyptian pound) and for their food they charged between 15 and 25 euros, while we had dinner in a 5 star hotel in the centre for 9 euros per person)
Gorgeous views over the nile, nice pool and very helpful staff.

FranceThis is not a family hotel like mentionned on the description. The owner own various hotels and he never talk to us and I never saw him. He is not responding de messages. We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. No cleaning were made during our stay even if I ask for it. Nour, the manager, don’t understand English well and it’s complicated to arrange thinks. The AC is not working so it was very hot on the room. We recommend no to use Nour help for visiting, that happened very bad for us ( the drive disappear during the day). The last night, electricity was down (only on the hotel). Nour, the manager, start being agressive and insulted me. I was scared for me and my 72 years old mother.
- The Nile View is amazing
