How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe room is clean and has a great view of the pyramids. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, also with an amazing pyramid view. There is someone at the front desk 24/7 to help with anything. The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby services.

Verified reviewNothing at all , location is difficult to find . Am not sure if this is a hotel or B&B. There is no reception so u need to whatup . They seem to spotlight the view of the pyramid but the surroundings space spoiles it
Power cut off 3x, no standby gen set, noise at night , no reception , surrounding spaces like staircase are dirty with rubbish, tourist suppose to know how to get breakfast and no coffee only tea , coffees extra charge .
We have a fixer through WhatsApp communication that I have assured you more than once that our front desk service is located in a loft and works 24 hours . And breakfast we told you that our breakfast dates end at 10 am and you ordered breakfast at 11:30 am after breakfast dates and we sent you breakfast in a room with the expiration of breakfast time and you did not use a staircase because we have an electric elevator directly in front of a room so how did you use a staircase !! And how to light up and your room was in the fifth loft

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed our stay at the "Experience Pyramids VIEW" hotel. The host was very attentive and eager to make the guests feel comfortable and at home. They helped us with our trip to the pyramids and other issues/questions. The room was clean, comfortable and with an amazing view of the pyramids. There is also a really nice rooftop place to hang out and eat breakfast.

Verified reviewTamer was a great host. I mentioned that I would arrive earlier, and he was able to give me access before check-in to leave my luggage and even use the room. The room is spacious, well-lit, organized, and clean. It has a fridge to store the water you’ll need for walking around the area. The view from the terrace is privileged, overlooking the pyramids. The place is located in an area close to the pyramids, making it easy to take an Uber or taxi to the entrance. There are many supermarkets nearby and a really good restaurant, Dar Darak. Highly recommended!

Kareem was incredible with us – as two young women traveling, we felt truly welcomed and supported. He helped us so much during our stay and always had a warm smile. He clearly has a big heart and made us feel safe and at home. The hotel driver was also very professional and kind – everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend this place!

Verified reviewI expected much more from a place with such high ratings, but later realized the owner insists quite a lot on guests leaving a perfect 10, which felt a bit off. Pros: The view of the Pyramids is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset! The room is spacious and beautiful, with a minibar (complimentary water), comfy beds, warm blankets, and efficient A/C. The bathroom has a proper shower enclosure and comes with toiletries. The large window with pyramid views is definitely a highlight. The staff is friendly—Mahmoud does his best despite language barriers, and the manager, Tamer, responds quickly on WhatsApp (though he’s rarely around despite the 24/7 reception claim). Location: Right by the archaeological site, which is fantastic! Cons: Breakfast is disappointing—nothing like the pictures. Service times are inconsistent, usually starting at 9 AM (once even at 10 AM?!). Plates weren’t very clean, with hair and sticker glue residue, which was unappetizing. Honestly, it might be better not to offer breakfast at all. Cleanliness issues: The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned (stained towels, dirty toilet, and floor). Only one near-empty toilet paper roll was provided, and it took almost an hour to get more. The wardrobe has a strong camel-like smell, and the curtains are visibly dirty. Building & surroundings: The area is a bit run-down, with trash on the streets and a lot of noise at night. The building itself looks neglected—the stairs are blocked, and the elevator has no door, which is quite dangerous. Overall: This is a good budget option but feels more like a hostel than a hotel. With more attention to detail, it could truly live up to its potential. I wanted to give it a 10, as I was heavily encouraged to, but for now, I’ll rate it a 7—though, realistically, it’s a solid 6.5.
