How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe staff at this hotel are incredibly kind and attentive. Their customer service is outstanding. They arranged taxis for us whenever we needed, and even when we returned late at night, they welcomed us warmly. When we had to leave earlier than breakfast time, they thoughtfully packed our breakfast to take with us. Before we came back each day, they would turn on the air conditioning so the room was cool and comfortable upon our arrival. Every detail of their service made our stay truly pleasant.

The breathtaking view of the pyramids from the hotel was truly unforgettable—waking up to such an awe-inspiring sight every morning was a highlight of my trip. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully maintained, providing the perfect comfort after a day of exploring. The staff's (Osam) customer service was exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Verified reviewThe front desk staff: awesome. Very polite. Passionate. Very helpful. Professional. Accommodating. The room: the original room was horrible. Small. Dark. Bathroom issues...etc....then I had to upgrade to a more liveable room, but I had to pay cash for it. Breakfast: really bad. Location: hard to find. Not close to anything. Hard to even get a taxi. Too far from the entrance of pyramids or the museum or shopping areas
Dear Valued Guest Kindly be informed that your orignal reservation is SGL Room and when you arrived the reception already show the orignal reservation and told you that if you need to add extra person you need to pay more, also the management give you exception to pay just 8$ per night and also booking.com be informed about that. Beside the next day the reception changed the room to get your satisfaction free of charge Concerning the room we already provide all the details related to the room configuration ,including the capacity of the room ,but you insist to reserve the wrong room thinking that the hotel will accept to make check in without extra fees Concerning the breakfast it's totally perfect and this isn't our opinion but is the other guest experience in the hotel (you could review their reviews on booking.com about our hotel) saying it's a delicious and exceptional breakfast. Verified reviewDouDou hotel was by far the best place we stayed during our 10 days in Egypt. The room was spacious, beds were super comfortable, and the shower room was large and clean. Everything we needed was provided. We had a direct view of the pyramids right from our window, breakfast was delicious, and enjoying it with the pyramid view was such a treat. The receptionist who speaks Chinese was helpful and friendly, if you want to avoid unpleasant surprises in Egypt, this is the one place I would truly recommend.
No handheld showerhead only overhead shower

The building was bad and hard to find, but nothing like the actual hotel.

Verified reviewI highly recommend the car charter service provided by this hostel — it was the best private car experience we had during our trip to Egypt! The car was brand new, had air conditioning, and was spacious and comfortable. There were three of us riding in a 7-seater, which felt incredibly roomy. The daily charter rate was only $50, which we found to be very reasonable. The only downside was that the hostel staff guaranteed the driver could speak English, but in reality, he couldn't speak English at all, which caused some communication issues.
There is no clear sign at the entrance of the hostel, and it took us 30 minutes to find the place. We recommend that future guests contact the hostel staff in advance to ask for directions, so you don’t waste time like we did trying to find the entrance.

Hot water is a bit limited, needs to keep an eye on the hot water volume, and wait for 20-30 minutes if it’s not enough.

Verified reviewThe property is located a short walk from the pyramid entrance making the location ideal for a stay in Giza. It was clean and the staff was very attentive. Also, the breakfast was very nice and the rooftop terrace was the perfect view of the pyramids across the street. My stay was comfortable.
Nothing- please note, you can sometimes hear noise from outside from your room, but that’s expected staying in the city.

The room was cold and I think the AC is not working well, there was a remote but no signal and the AC light was not on. The bathroom was really smelly, might from outside or sewage. Smell really bad when I first came in. Location was hard to find.

Verified reviewVery good location. Several minutes drive to pyramids entrance. You can enjoy the view of pyramids at the balcony with your breakfast. And the breakfast is diverse and all food and drinks are free, as you can see in the picture. Not noisy during the night so you can enjoy a good sleep. Very nice staff and you can leave your luggage for them to take care of. They’re very responsible:) Though you may feel the outside is a bit shabby, the inside is very clean. I love their decoration and smell!
Not enough hot water for showering. If you come with your friends, it’s better to wait for 10 minutes after they take a shower.
