How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI only liked the view of the pyramids and sphinx at the rooftop and the politeness of a few of the staff. I disliked everything else, thankful it wasn't that expensive to stay in the hotel.
There was no one to receive us at the airport even though we took airport transfer from them, had to wait 20 mins trying to figure out who was coming to pick us up. When we arrived at hotel tired from travel, to our horror, there is no lift/elevator in the hotel, so we had to climb stairs to the 4th floor. Stairs were abnormal of different heights so it's risky for children. This was a family business so they lived on 2nd and 3rd floor. They didn't make up nor fix the second room's A/C in time, so they made us cram in one room (we are a family of 6), said it's for 1 night only till they fix the 2nd room. And then they only gave a discount of USD20 for not having that second room. View from window was lousy, blocked, not as advertised. Breakfast was bad, served cheese that's exposed on their kitchen counter openly with flies buzzing around, didn't bother to serve any water or coffee together with the food, we had to ask, and no milk at all. The female staff were lazy and just spent time surfing on phone instead of being attentive to us as the only guest there in the morning. Despite being told to leave room key at reception, after a long day touring we came back at 5pm to a room that was not made up, no water and no new towels. And they still didn't prepare a second room until I complained, and we finally got a second room further away. They mixed towels with floor bath mats, so they were still stains from poor washing - and as usual, not enough towels or very small towels given instead. Every time we ate dinner at the rooftop, we would be distubed by their cats, who would jump onto the table to take food, so yes it's not hygienic. Whenever we discussed with reception via whatsapp chat, they repeatedly ask who we were or our room no, instead of taking some time to check previous texts - and worse, response was slow sometimes hours before anyone would reply.

Verified reviewSpacious room and very nice terrace that gives you a lovely view of the Giza site. Hotel is located 300 mt. fom the Giza entry site (Sphinx area). Delicious breakfast , no breakfast box so you must wait 8-8.30 and plan your daily excursion based on that timing. Rooms are placed in a different building from the reception, avoid the daily request of people who ask you for a camel ride as the main walking way is full of camels and horses :)
We had to ask at the reception bath / shower product (missing in the room at our arrival) Bathroom ok for us as we experienced same ones in Morocco. Organization of the staff needs some improvement; if it's good having young helpers, it's also important that these people are able to interact with customers without using written request via google translation. Also, if the person tasked to make breakfast are absent during one day, Customers must be informed the evening before (on the 3rd day our excursion guide has to wait us 30 minutes due to a delay in set up breakfast) . PS: pay attention to some "burn out" switches - buttons

Verified reviewBeautiful and safe garden courtyard, an amazing rooftop with impressively close view of the pyramid. The owners and stuff were attentive, helpful and very chill with great and relaxing vibes. We loved our breakfast on the roof top. It was simple and delicious. The coffee and tea with steamed milk was top notch. The location is very convenient but still quiet and authentic. We would love to come back

Verified reviewLocation. Stafff
Photos do not match the rooms. Rooms don’t have pyramids view as opposed to the photos. No towel, shampoo, cups or any other basic facilities were available once we arrived. No iron or hair dryer. Very poor faculties. This is while in the property description it said they have them all.
