Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWe had to ask at the reception bath / shower product (missing in the room at our arrival) Bathroom ok for us as we experienced same ones in Morocco. Organization of the staff needs some improvement; if it's good having young helpers, it's also important that these people are able to interact with customers without using written request via google translation. Also, if the person tasked to make breakfast are absent during one day, Customers must be informed the evening before (on the 3rd day our excursion guide has to wait us 30 minutes due to a delay in set up breakfast) . PS: pay attention to some "burn out" switches - buttons
Spacious room and very nice terrace that gives you a lovely view of the Giza site. Hotel is located 300 mt. fom the Giza entry site (Sphinx area). Delicious breakfast , no breakfast box so you must wait 8-8.30 and plan your daily excursion based on that timing. Rooms are placed in a different building from the reception, avoid the daily request of people who ask you for a camel ride as the main walking way is full of camels and horses :)

GermanyHotel is a family business and mostly run by children! Some of them are barely 10-12 year old, partly minors. Just the highest floor is the hotel, the rest are family apartements Hotel is a bit difficult to find Because all the camels and horses for the pyramids were driven in the street in front of the hotel, it smelled a lot after animal dung in the morning and evening Cats were living in the hotel, you couldn't eat your breakfast without them jumping on you or the table to get some food Cats destroyed most of the furniture on the rooftop
Nice room and view from rooftop to the pyramids. Staff was very helpful, but for our perspective obstrusiv Nice, big breakfast selection Clean rooms, good shower with a shower cubicle

CroatiaBe aware that the room with the view means good pyramids view but also trash view under the window. Didn't feel bad smell though. Be aware that this is not typical hotel but more like rooms with reception and terrace. There are 1-2 families living on the 1st-2nd floor. That did not affect our stay and we did not mind. The room seemed very nice at first but soon we realized the window is not closing properly, the water is leaking from the bathroom pipe into the room floor somehow, the AC inverter/heating doesn't always work properly (and it is cold at night in February) and we were quite sure the sheets were not changed (there were hairs and specific sheet wrinkles). First morning we were waiting to long for breakfast (it was supossed to be served at 8:00 and we got it after 8:30). Good price at the top location + Booking evaluation was the main reason we booked this hotel. The reviews we we read later (about unclean sheets and doublebooking) raised doubts. I expressed my concerns before arriving, wanting to make sure we will have a room, and the accommodation fulfilled promise. However, one evening, while we were sitting at the terrace, a family from Greece arrived and the hotel didn't have room for them (similar to the experiences we read about before) and seemed the owner was arranging nearby accommodation for them. That seem like common practice. So insure yourself if possible, have a plan B.
The room with the view was spacious, clean in general and waiting for us as promised. The view from the top terrace is great. It is nice to watch the light show at the pyramids or enjoy the sunset/sunrise. The young man who served us drinks in the evening on the terrace (was it Hamid? So sorry I forgot his name) was very polite and very nice to talk to. Egg omelette for breakfast vas excellent and young ladies made effort to prepare fresh orange juice. Good choice if you are on budget and ready to lower your standards (which you should do for Egypt in general and if you are not ready to pay Marriot price)

United StatesThere was no lift, only stairs. Sometimes the staff spoke no English. The tour guide that the hotel arranged was not good. We spent more time in shops, that he received commission from than we did at the historical sites.
The location was great with a fantastic view from the terrace. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff were very helpful.

GermanyI had booked a room with mountain view, but there was another house in front of my window and the noise of the renovation going on there woke me up.
The staff was super kind and helpful, they even brought me tea to my room without having ordered it. After a tour I had booked was cancelled, they organised a private tour for me spontanously within an hour! Breakfast was super plenty and they had some good Vegetarian options provided. They had booked an airport shuttle for me and even late night Check-in was not a problem.

IrelandWhile the hotel is good, there's room for improvement. On a couple of nights, there was loud music and conversation late in the night, making it difficult to sleep. Food ordered for lunch on the first day took 1h30 to be served, with no heads up of the delay. We had just arrived and planned to go explore the city as soon as possible, but ended up wasting part of the afternoon. Food was served cold and was quite overpriced. Tour guide was knowledgeable, but tours were rushed. We booked the Pyramids tour but ended up spending very little time there, while half of the day was spent on other locations. The only places where we spent more time were at the papyrus and perfume making stores, mostly because their ultimate goal was to sell us their products. A few of the extra places included required additional tickets, which wasn't informed beforehand. In one of them, we only stayed 5min. I'd highly recommend making clear before the tours start 1) how long it will last 2) stops included 3)additional tickets that will be required and, most importantly, give the option to spend more time at the Pyramids instead of going to multiple locations. While we appreciated the intention to show us as many places as possible, our goal was to explore the Pyramids, which ended up not being possible as planned.
Rooms were comfortable and hotel well located. Breakfast was good and staff was accommodating to serve it earlier on days of early tours. Good location, with shops and good restaurants at walking distance, as well as really close to the Pyramids.

United KingdomRoom shower was leaking slightly but I’m sure this will get fixed.
Great little hotel with an amazing view of the pyramids and stars, possibly the quietest rooftop to view them from as we did try many, really nice bunch of friendly young lads who were there to help us, All of our drinks were free of charge and the breakfast was great too. I don’t think you could get better value for money.

AustraliaWiFi does not work. Was very intimidating having the staff talking money upon our late arrival, and expecting cash. Would’ve been nice to have the total amount required taken up front, not when we were ready for bed. The property is in the old part of Cairo, the smell isn’t pleasant, nobody seems to mention this in their reviews. Take USD with you, this seems to be the currency used in Cairo, tips is a big thing that everyone seems to want, although this is not a thing here in Australia, would have been nice to have the heads up.
Brilliant views of the pyramids, the beds were very comfortable and the staff were amazing. The driver was great and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Hong KongWe were sent an email offering a tour & guide but no price. We arrived after a good 24 hour travel & we were not allowed to check-in, shower or anything until we had agreed to a tour. They did the same to another guest who got quite angry. The guide was very nice & knowledgeable BUT do not buy Arabic perfume from the place he takes you - we got totally ripped off - up to 60% goes to the guide. We asked to stop & look at carpets , same problem. Prices are way too high because the guide wants his cut. So check prices before you arrive . Expect to be held hostage until you agree to their tour. Same with tickets we paid for expensive tickets...profit went to the hotel we didn't get what we asked for. So hotel ok...be prepared to be harrassed. Other hotels were half the price we paid...
Clean, large room, bed was comfortable. It's very close to the pyramids, staff are very pleasant & go out of their way to help you.

SwitzerlandThe breakfeast takes up to 30mins to prepare. Be sure to schedule accordingly. Regarding the tours: The guides are taking you to stores/"museums" to f.e. buy perfumes or papyrus. These are in our opinion overprized but others may disagree 🤗. This critic does not concern the hotel, just the tours.
We stayed one week at the hotel and booked 4 tours with them. The overall experience was good. Very helpful staff, always available. If you do book tours (somewhat pricy) with them, they are hiring professional freelancers (as guides). The depth of the information depends on the tour guide, though. Be sure to communicate your wishes clearly and ultimately switch. You get free bottled water, juices and a stunning view of the pyramids from the roof terace.

ItalyThe pyramid area is… well what it is. Camels dropping, wild architecture and urban decay are simply what Giza unfortunately needs to engage with. All hotels in the area face this. As suggested to Farida at the checkout, one thing that I think can be added to the room are toiletries- towels and a small soap are there, but shower gel/shampoos would have been very useful.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the Pyramids gates, and during the night rooftop gardens/bars in the surrounding offer much entertainment. The hotel itself has a very beautiful view of the pyramids which you can enjoy over breakfast or in the evening where there is a light-show. The rooms are modern, large and squeaky clean, with a fridge and kettle. The owner (Oussama) and the staff (among them Khalid and Farida) were very helpful, kind and professional. It’s a group of young enthusiastic locals that will take care of all your needs during the stay, so do book with them.

TaiwanBe honestly, it is a little hard to find the place. The alley is relatively narrow and covered with loess. If you bring the luggage with wheels here, it is bad to move to the hotel.
The view is really nice. You can see pyramids in front of you directly when standing on the rooftop. They provide good breakfast set. I really like to have breakfast on the rooftop with such an amazing view. The room is quite big and very clean. The sheet is clean. The bed is soft. They provide shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and slippers. However, you need to prepare toothbrush and towels by yourself. The refrigerator is usable and new. The wifi is quick and stable. I think it is a good place for digital nomads. The owner Osama is really kind. He brought us to the nice Egyptian restaurant near the hotel, and showed us how the Egyptian food is. He also helped me to make my cell phone internet work. I really appreciated.

I would like to give a special shout-out to the owner Mr. Osama, who treated us like family. His warmth and hospitality truly made a lasting impression. Additionally, I found the location to be perfect. Being so close to the Giza Pyramids and having food outlets like KFC and Pizza Hut within walking distance made it convenient for me. Thank you once again for whole team specially Manar who arrange perfect GIZA pyramid Tour / River Neel Cruise dinner and Mimone & Sahara for wellcome drink. However, as the city is full of scammer, some taxi driver say they work with the hotel while they are not. United KingdomMore of a guesthouse than hotel - only a few rooms basically over one floor of a larger house Hard to find - not on Google maps or with a specific address for taxi etc. Leaky shower cubicle, poorly fitting windows Noisy outside - it’s near the horse/camel stables & also nearby construction going on past midnight A bit too keen to push tours, taxis etc rather than let travellers do their own thing independently
Amazing location about 200m from Pyramids ticket office, with a full rooftop view of the pyramids Super-friendly and helpful staff Large room with good aircon Simple but nice breakfast Fantastic value
