How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe property was close to the beach and aqua park and had shuttle services. The rooms were spacious and clean.
There was a power failure on 15th April for almost the whole day. The hotel, despite being 4 star, didn’t have enough generator backup to power the whole place for even one day! Generator backup was only available in the main building and there was so much wastage of power - all the fancy lighting was still on in the lobby while the rooms didn’t even have basic needs. There was no water in the rooms! The aqua park didn’t work that day which was a waste of a day. This meant on the second day our plans of going on a snorkelling trip had to be cancelled and instead we had to go again to aqua park. The aqua park wasn’t great either. The ride staff were not helpful. Rides would stop in the middle with lack of water and we had to push ourselves down the rides. I have never experienced this in any aqua park. The food while it had a large spread was not very tasty, at least for vegetarians.

Verified reviewAmazing stay in this hotel. Everything was excellent from the minute we arrived. The staff in this hotel is helpful and polite, smiling and helping with everything they can. The reception manager Nashaat Morkos, Mina and the rest of the staff did everything was in their hand to make our experience in this hotel perfect. 5 star service in my opinion. Food was very good and variable. The hotel was clean and rooms large and tidy. The waterpark was also great and the kids loved it. You can also do snorkel in the beach in front with variety of fishes and even you could see 'rayas'. The night shows were very nice too. We especially loved the fire show. So would absolutely recommend this hotel and would repeat. Before this hotel we stayed in another hotel in Makadi Beach that was a 5 star hotel but Blend Club Aqua resort is way over this in everything. Highly recommended. Thank you for giving us a perfect final for our holidays.

Verified reviewFood was so so good, I've tried alot of hotels in hurghada and this hotel has the best food. Stuff was very friendly and very very welcoming. Animation team and animation shows was pretty good. Pools was clean and relaxing, not heated but that wasn't a big deal to me. Beach was sandy and clean, coral reefs was near and it was an exceptional spot for snorkeling so I advice to get your snorkeling gear with you. Aqua park was pretty good but the artificial wave pool was not working but everything else was so good and very entertaining for all ages.
Facilities was pretty clean but not that clean standards of hotels, the bed wasn't comfortable at all and we changed the room for that but still not that comfortable. There was no soap, shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, tooth brush and no hotel slippers, so there was nearly no self cleaning gadgets, I think you must get yours obviously. There was towels, paper towels and shower gel only.
