SpainWe arrived early in the morning so we just booked a room to have a 3 hours sleep before going to the airport. The stuff was nice to us and we could rest and that was actually our goal. We also had a coffee at the entrance, which is a very beatiful and relaxing place. The location is quite good.

Switzerlandthe bathroom is far from the bedroom. the receptionist was always here when i went to the bathroom and i felt that they control all your movement when you are outside the room. they were anyway polite. there is no toilette paper. i had to ask for it but it didn t come until the evening when i asked again. The hostel is very old but it has a old type style of alexandria. i had the room with the window in a big street so it was noisy but after 11pm, the shops close so it s more calm.
the location is good, near the corniche ( sea) and in downtown. alot of shops and restaurant are in this area. the room was big, there is 24 h reception, it s secure. if they renovate this hostel, it will be a nice place.

Chinait’s a very nice and classic-styled house. but unfortunately it lacks maintenance and renovation. everything is too old and dusty and rusty. the bed is super hard. it’s not comfortable to sleep on at all. the window is not really closing properly, which brings in a lot of traffic noise.
very good location. right in the downtown. staff super nice. he is there 24 hours. and I didn’t see anyone else there to take the shift. hope he gets paid well.

ItalyThe hotel hygiene and safety conditions are not acceptable and they don't meet minimum standards. On the first day I arrived in this hotel, I entered my room, it was old and dirty. As I tried to open the wardrobe, the wardrobe door literally fell on my head, I have a broken leg so it was difficult for me to avoid the door falling on me, I had to quickly jump backwards with only one leg and I almost fell on the floor trying to do that. I raised the issue with the reception and they refused to give me a refund for the trouble and the incident they just offered me a different room. The other room was smaller, very dirty, the wall was falling off and the sink in the room was out of order so I had no water in my bedroom. The wardrobe was very old and missing the handle so I could not even open it to put my clothes inside. In general the conditions of the rooms are almost less than acceptable, old and decrepit rooms with no air conditioning or any facilities like kettle, fan or tv in working order. The toilet is shared and is incredibly dirty, the toilet bowl is broken and has grey and black stains that were not removed during my 3 day stay. I took a shower in the bath and the bath was so dirty that I had to shower keeping one leg and foot elevated for fear or catching an infection with all that dirt and germs. Also the stuff is very rude and unprofessional, I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, the check-out was at noon and all the three mornings I was woken up by the manager or receptionist knocking hard and repetitively at my door around 9am and 10 am in the morning. They didn't let me sleep in the morning or neither of the 3 days, I asked the staff why the woke me up every morning by knocking loudly at my door and they did not give me a reason, explanation or even apologise for the behaviour. I obviously asked for a refund at the end of my stay, as on the last day I paid more than 600 egp pounds for a old dirty room with broken sink, wall and wardrobe.
The only good thing of the hotel is the location and the fact they have a lift
