Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe property needs a serious upgrade. Everything seems to be very old. On first night the Aircondition didn’t work after several attempts to fix. It was fixed next day. Bed was broken. There were ants. Facilities listed were not all there. There was no view. Breakfast was monotonous and bland. Only tea/coffee, egg omelette, salad, cheese and fig jam with pocket peta bread. No water or other options for kids. Place is small. Owner refused to charge my card which was used during the booking and insisted on cash.
Location was in a busy place with easy access to food, amenities and transport. Some of the landmarks are walkable like Egyptian national museum. Staff was good especially Ms. Iman who was constantly in touch for assuring smooth check in. Ms. Sehar, Mahmoud and Sameh did a good job with the service.

United KingdomThe bathroom was a bit old. The shower didn't have any separation from the toilet, so everything gets wet once you take a shower.
The hotel is in the middle of the centre and close to the Nile River, the Egyptian museum and the famous Khan el-Khalili bazaar. The staff in the hotel was very helpful and always looked after our comfort. Breakfast was also good and a demonstration of a typical one in Egypt, I enjoyed it and recommend it. Good value for money for the service and the facilities, but the staff certainly supersedes this.

Indiano one knows about the hotel...hotel is part of a tall building having only 4th floor to itself so there is no reception at entrance of building, one gets confused to find the hotel / reach the 4th floor. one room AC was not working. All windows were crack opened and not sealing due to ac drain pipe passing from the window so cant close / lock the windows, and there is gap so warm air keeps coming in. Bathroom doors are flexible foldable plastic type so cant lock it, shower was not held in place but kept on the tap below in washroom. Water is not provided in the room on arrival, it has to be paid for . not much of a kitchen available, there is a small pantry arrangement so food may be an issue. we had all meals outside except a veg dinner for 2 on one night.
it is located in central area of Cairo, right in the middle of busy market place,

RussiaIn reality they ask you to pay 15% more than it shows on the booking. I wouldn't call it "breakfast included", more like: snack included. The change is only in egyptian pounds - they won't give you any dollars. There is no window in the room. The door has a rather large gap at the bottom, so anything happes in the hallway it is in your room, including the light.
Nice bed and pillow. All the basics you should have in an hotel to spend a few nights, such as toilet paper, or towel is there. Silent. Clean. Badass view from the toilet window. Only a few blocks from a metro station.

Egypt1/ The bathroom was so bad and dangerous(construction). 2/ I made extention for two nights, 19 and 20 May. I want to complain that the hotel refused my booking on the ground that the all rooms are occupied. Rejecting a confirmed booking had cost me much time and money in addition to the inconvenience.
Breakfast and the location are good.

United StatesInconveniently located on the 4th floor, in the middle of an alley that no car passes by, and you have to carry your luggage from your ride to the entrance , carry 10-15 more flight of stairs then to reach the very old and scary elevator. WiFi signal dropped all the time, with weak security. Loud from street noise. Uncomfortable shower. Nothing close to one star even. Not sure why popped in 3star ranking.
The host lady was very kind, and despite not able to speak English but very smart and able to find solutions or at least look for them.

They go out of their way each day to make your stay a memorable one. Breakfast was also very tasty and included a large variety. Cleaners clean room excellently and all staff very smiley. GreeceAvoid risking your holidays by spending even a single day at this 'hotel.' The interior was incredibly dirty. I usually consider myself easygoing, but this place was outright disgusting. Upon checking in, we requested replacement sheets as the provided ones were unclean; disappointingly, we received only one clean sheet. Additionally, the beds were so uncomfortable that it was almost impossible to get a good night's sleep. We resorted to buying our own flip flops just to use the bathroom. Moreover, we had to purchase our own toilet paper, as the hotel did not supply any, nor did they provide basic amenities like shampoo or shower gel. To make matters worse, I am quite certain I suffered bug bites, as I woke up each morning with an urge to scratch and noticed pimples on my hands. Three more things I have to add here: the entrance does not give you the idea that this is hotel, plus the entrance is incredibly dirty and there is weird, bad smell in the hallways and the rooms of this hotel.
There wasn’t a single thing we enjoyed.

Lift didn't work at check-out and had to carry suitcases from 4th floor. No help from Staff. 4. Airport shuttle doesn't exist but shown on booking.com
