Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was spot on. Tea or coffee with the breakfast would have been great.
Breathtaking views, superb location, great breakfast, hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Aya at reception always responsive and helpful to our request. The owner (Islam) is very kind and friendly, available for any problem and provides local knowledge. We visited a few weeks back (family of 4) and the hotel and staff made our visit to Cairo a very memorable one. We had a large room with direct access to the pool. My children loved the swimming pool (priceless), albeit a plunge pool, but did job of keeping our children cool from the very hot sun. The panoramic terrace is amazing. But once you step out, just prepare yourself with people constantly trying to scam you (that’s nothing to do with the hotel), just stay vigilant at all times. Entrance to the Giza pyramids is literally on the doorstep of the hotel. Overall a very chilled stay, and I thank Pyramid Beyond for welcoming us so well. Recommend it without hesitation I will come back for sure. See you soon Zuber & Shenaly

United KingdomWe liked everything but it would be great if they could develop the roof area to sit for an even better view. It’s only a new property so I’m sure this will happen. They need a sign a bit earlier as it’s a bit tricky to find. But really everything was great.
We had a fantastic stay at Beyond Pyramids. The staff were great communicators even before our visit. The hotel is right next to the Great Pyramid. A fantastic view. The pool was a real highlight after a busy and dusty day. The breakfast was amazing.

GreeceWe had a beautiful experience staying at this hotel in Cairo. The location is unbeatable, right next to the pyramids, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Special thanks to Omar and Aya, who went out of their way to assist us with everything we needed. If I were to mention anything, it would simply be a reminder about Cairo’s summer heat, as someone from Greece, I still underestimated it! I’d recommend visiting outside the peak of summer if possible, just for comfort. Other than that, everything about the hotel was lovely. We truly enjoyed our time and would definitely stay again.

GermanyYou would think that the location of this hotel, right next to the pyramids, is what would make this property outstanding. However besides the amazing view that we got to wake up to each morning, the hotel itself and its staff made this stay 100x more enjoyable, comfortable and fun. The Hotel staff is extremely friendly, they helped us with every single inquiry that we had. They reserved everything for us, waited for us even though we arrived very late at night and were available 24/7.

United KingdomThe area is a bit of a culture shock but this is no reflection on the hotel or the people. We still always felt safe and loved our stay.
The rooms were very clean, modern and we had a wonderful view of the pyramids. The pool was a welcomed addition after a hot day of exploring. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They organised all of our excursions and our taxis and we especially enjoyed the time spent with the guide organised by the hotel for us. Ahmed was a fabulous guide and we felt safe and well looked after. Would highly recommended this hotel to anyone who wants to explore the authentic Egypt culture but still be very close to all the major attractions.

United KingdomWiFi does not work (we got the odd message come through), but apps don’t work (eg. Not possible to check in) Water must be limited as it stopped after 3 people taking a short shower on multiple days. (No taps, no toilet).
It is nicely done, true representation of the pictures. Smelled nice when we walked in. Relatively wide range of breakfast with coffee/tea choice. Nicely decorated, clean. 2 minutes walk from the pyramids.

AustraliaDogs and cats constantly running on the roof and on one night kept my mom awake pretty much all night.Wifi is available but a bit of a challenge, restricted to certain times for us I guess because our room was furthest from reception and they had no booster.Hot drinks are probably not common in Egypt for breakfast but we requested white tea that wasn’t often presented in the best manner.
The location with stunning views and the stuff were lovely.Particularly Omar we went above and beyond to help us get comfortable and assisted us with all our queries. He asked what we needed for breakfast night before and was always provided on time without fail.Thank you Omar and the team for an excellent job.The room was also clean at the time of stand allowed us early check in.

Australia- On arrival, our floor was covered in dirt and dust. We had to ask for it to be cleaned properly. - Windows didn’t lock upon arrival. Had to complain about it before they fixed it, but then they said they’ve been shut permanently. - We paid extra for a “pyramid view” suite, and our view was 2% pyramid and 98% rubble and dirt. - The electricity cuts out very frequently. Aircon stops working middle of the night and day, lights flicker and dim a lot. We had a total power outage for 20 minutes and staff said it was suburb wide… but we could see lights on in neighbouring buildings. - Water stopped mid shower. - Wifi didn’t reach our room and cuts out VERY often. Complained about it 3 times and still no fix. - Pool was dirty. Found a screw at the bottom. - Neighbouring building has a rooftop where men were looking down whilst we were in the pool. - No toilet brush provided, but when they cleaned the room, they didn’t touch the toilet. - Soundproofing is non existent. You can hear everything in other rooms and reception area. - Ordered room service, staff said food would be 45-60 mins. Food took almost 2 hours, was extremely cold and bread was rock hard upon arrival. Looked like it was from a neighbouring restaurant and they plated it up themselves, then forgot about it. Charged us $25USD for the meal but would have been $5-10USD in neighbouring restaurants, with fresh bread and food actually being warm and tasty. - Booked family suite, but there were no tables or chairs. If you want to eat in the room, you had to eat on the bed. - No lamps, and only one main light. - No microwave despite description stating there was when booking the room. - They kept “forgetting” to provide complimentary water and only provided when asked. - We wanted to enjoy the pool on our last day… and it was totally empty of water with no warning. - Our “airport transfer” was not big enough for 2 luggages.
Staff were friendly. I asked for a box of pastries and one of the staff members organised it for me.

AustraliaIt’s in a terrible area. You walk out of the hotel and people are heckling you for money, more than they would in other parts of Cairo. It was to the point where they would follow you down the laneway. This meant at times that we didn’t want to leave the hotel. I appreciate this isn’t a reflection directly on the hotel, but location is something to consider. We spent the second half of our trip in Maadi and felt much safer.
Great breakfast and view from the pool. Staff were very nice.

United States- There are some issues with the power at the hotel. I don't know if this is the case for the whole area or if it's just this hotel, but I stayed in Giza one week prior at a different location and didn't have an issue. The power went out the first night I was there, although it wasn't out for long. But the lights were constantly flickering the whole 2 days I was there, especially when you would turn on the AC. Would make me nervous to book this again when it's really hot in case the power went out and you were stuck without AC. - Our AC stopped working on day 2 (started off cold but then would blow hot air after a few mins) and they said they'd have someone come fix it. we saw someone come and go but it still didn't work, so I went to the front desk to ask about an ETA. The guy at the front desk acted surprised that it wasn't fixed and then had the nerve to tell me nothing was wrong with it. He said it was just really hot out and the unit was having trouble keeping up WHILE I WAS GETTING BLASTED IN THE FACE WITH COLD AIR FROM THE UNIT ABOVE HIS HEAD. When I pointed this out, he told me that the space his unit was cooling down was smaller than our room, which is incredibly false - the lobby/hallway area was at least 2x the area of our room. It was unbelievably infuriating to be treated like I'm a moron who doesn't know how AC works. I asked to move to a different room (which is a solution they should have offered us without having to ask) and they moved us, then had the nerve to ask for a 10 star rating. - Our room was huge and there was space for chairs but there was nowhere to sit down beside on the the beds - The floor in our room was really dirty, like it hadn't been properly mopped after construction. Within 3 minutes of getting out of the shower and walking around the room barefoot, the bottom of my feet were brown with dirt. - This place was expensive compared to other well-rated hotels in the area
The good! - Breakfast was delicious - there was a lot of variety and plenty of it. - Everything is new and modern as it's a new hotel (altho the furniture/fixtures are cheap and don't look like they'll last long) - The staff was generally very helpful and available to assist with anything you need. - They have a menu and serve food at the hotel - The pyramid view from the actual hotel is kinda odd b/c the hotel is only one floor and the pyramids are higher than the hotel (the views in the listing photos are true to real life), BUT they do let you use the terraces in the hotel next door, which have a higher/great view, so you get the benefit of both the views and the pool. (there are no buildings between Beyond Pyramids hotel and the pyramids) - Was really nice to have a pool to cool off in after a day of touring. - Was nice to have a fridge in the room. - Our room was large/spacious There isn't enough space in the "what I didn't like" section so I'm putting this here: There is thoughtless design/construction throughout the hotel. for example: 1 - the granite edge surrounding the pool, where you'd be likely to sit, is about a billion degrees baking in the sun all day. 2 - the shower floor in our first room was higher than the bathroom floor, separated only by a very low strip of material that did absolutely nothing to keep the water in the shower when the drain was backed up: we ended up with water all over the bathroom floor. (the drain was backed up when we got there) 3 - there was a wall-mounted shelf/counter in our second room that my partner leaned on lightly to remove his shoes and it pulled away from the wall. it was affixed to the wall with only two screws, one of which didn't even appear to have an anchor. The shelf had two drawers underneath it and if they were full with stuff or someone set a bag on this shelf, the two screws wouldn't be strong enough to hold it up.
