Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe breakfast buffet was not good. Food choices were not appealing. Coming ti buffet at 9am..the food was picked-over...and not replenished for 9am dining. I dont think the buffet concept is a good idea.
Very pleasant and helpful staff

NetherlandsThe choice in the restaurant was rather limited, but that was May be because we were the only guests as it seemed.
This hotel complex has a nice location along the Nile. The size of the complex is a bit bizar (big area!), especially if you are more or less the only guest.

GreeceI will say this...on 14/05/2025 in the morning the hotel had no water to wash people nor for the W.C. We had rented 3 rooms and none of them had water (2008, 2209 and 2210). We had no WI-FI....And when it did have internet all the time it had long interruptions The Breakfast not even for a lower class hotel. And the price VERY PRICELESS for what it offered.
Nothing at all

SlovakiaFirst I paid $50 through Booking then they asked for another $50 because I am not Egyptian. I was quite moved by this as I was not informed about it. The hotel has 5 stars long ago and now it is max 3 stars with a pool. I was woken up all night by a creaking bed and a very banging elevator door. The cleanliness was also very poor. We have stayed in better hotels for $20-30.

EgyptThe restaurant was not good. The furniture was old and some broken, the top of our table was not connected to the legs. The staff seemed surprised and annoyed when we arrived. The menue did not look good the ambiance was unwelcoming. We eventually left without ordering. We went back to our room and had the food delivered. There was no breakfast and no bowls to eat cereal.
The rooms were clean and large. There was a modern television in each room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were nice with a park across the street. We enjoyed a great view from our room of the Nile river. If possible, you should check out the chalets across the street; we didn't go in but they appeared nice.

FranceThe meals were good, especially meat. Breakfast sounded very promising when they announced: "continental, saïdi or fellahi". But we were a bit disappointed, it was not very good (the price per night would justify a great buffet, however, since occupation was very low, they served us what they had). The thing is that staff there doesn't seem to be commercially trained; they may be military staff working as a service. They are quite courteous, but you can see it's not their job.
The hotel is called "Jewel", but actually it is part of the Armed Forces complex. I like it because I am a fan of his club atmosphere, including nice clean parks, swimming pools, playgrounds, open-air salons, and all sorts of well maintained facilities. The Armed Forces hotels are a well-known institution in Egypt, normally for military staff and their family members, but now also open for tourists. I must say it is good and clean.

AustraliaThe room had alot of problems - one of the main windows didn't lock - I had to go over to Reception to ask them to fix this which they did shortly after but I shouldn't have had to do that; the sliding balcony door was broken and couldn't be opened at all; there was no toilet paper in bathroom when I arrived; the bathroom window couldn't lock; cleanliness overall was poor. The property was very tired - needs painting and updating and cleaning up. Quite a bit of rubbish around the streets inside the complex and several lawns needed attention.
Breakfast was average
