Located on the banks of the Nile, the view from the window is exactly what I imagined of the Nile, It’s very close to the ferry and restaurants, and although it’s on an island, everything is still very convenient. The hostess is very warm and helpful, and the hotel’s private car service to Abu Simbel was excellent, saving me the trouble of finding a driver yourself and avoiding unnecessary worries. The car was brand new with a good driver. The room’s air conditioning worked well, which is very important in Aswan. It was clean and tidy, with a balcony to enjoy the Nile scenery. I like this place and will come again next time

The location and views of the accommodation are unbeatable. On Elephantine Island but at the foot of the causeway that takes you to Aswan in a few minutes. The rooms, without luxuries, are clean and comfortable. The air conditioning and fan work well. I recommend staying in rooms with a balcony and river views. The staff is very friendly and always trying to give you a hand. They organized a felucca trip for us. The breakfast was plentiful and good. A pleasure...

The hotel team are really very nice and very helpful. They allowed us to have an immersion in the Nubi people history, culture and delicious Nubian cuisine. Also they arranged for us a VERY COMFORTABLE mini van to visit Abu Simbal Temple The manager speaks perfectly English which was of good help for us

thank you very much indeed for your kindly review

I was truly overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality at this place. Mohammod, the owner, along with Rawia and her sons, went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They arranged a car from the airport, and the driver was in touch with me well in advance of my arrival. Despite my late arrival, Rawia prepared a delicious homemade dinner at a very reasonable price. She also organized a felucca ride on short notice, again at a fair rate. During our conversations, I shared some stories about my family who couldn’t join me on the trip. In a beautiful and thoughtful gesture, Rawia gave a small gift for my wife and kids — a touching example of Nubian hospitality and culture that really stayed with me. On my first day, her son kindly accompanied me on the ferry to help me get familiar with the area — another thoughtful gesture I really appreciated. Every request I had was taken care of promptly and with genuine care. Do note that the place is located on an island, so you'll need to take a ferry to get in and out. The service is frequent, but it’s something to be aware of when planning. Overall, an exceptional stay with an incredibly kind and generous host family. Let me know if you'd like to shorten it or make it more casual.

Sometimes, you might wait for a few extra minutes for the ferry.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, the location is good, the scenery is good, close to the Nile bank, you can go down directly to swim, there are two boys very warm, and another young man called Mohamed, warm and talkative and kind, helped us with our luggage to the dock

Very kind and attentive staff. Convenient location next to ferry to mainland. Excellent view of the river, boats, corniche, sofitel cataract hotel. Reasonably priced laundry service. Powerful air conditioner and comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room was a welcome touch and I really enjoyed sitting on my terrace watching the boats on the nile. Rawia and her staff will do all they can to ensure you enjoy your stay as much as I did.

maybe an awning on the terrace would be good so I could continue to enjoy it during the peak of the day.

what can I say? that I was pleasantly surprised!! Our last night we decided to look for a cozy place and we found it! Its very simple yes, but choice a room with the view was best as we had a lovely view of the river, boats and a balcony! Absolutely fell in love with Madam of the place and atmopshare, super clean as well. If I will be back to Aswan, so only for this place. Rooms and house are simple but feels great, you get AC and fan, fridge, welcome drink and even breakfast! Getting there by boat, just a min walk from jamaican king restaurant, very very local vibes and streets, so if you have big luggage be ready for 'fun'. We loved it. Convenient to go to the city by boat, if you eat at JamKing you take boat free ! miss it already.. waking up with a beautiful sunrise and the view! ps if you have very late night arrivals or take an early flight -check the boat schedules to get in and get out from the island.

maybe an extra pillow would have nice to have, I am a pillow lover and bigger covers for them :) didnt like that it was a short stay!

The property was right in front of the Nile, so you could enjoy beautiful views from both your balcony and terrace! The host was absolutely amazing, she was eager to organize everything we needed, like a felluca ride, taxi to the airport, lovely homemade dinner with traditional food. The staff was lovely and they really helped make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The communication was also very smooth throughout our stay. Would recommend!

Great location, 2 minutes walk to the boat pier. Boat waiting time maximum 10 minutes, runs all day and price is fixed. Beds are comfortable, quiet at night and good a/c so it is a good place to rest. Lovely owner who went beyond by letting us doing a late check out before our airport flight. Can do laundry here. Big breakfast that you eat on the terrace. Amazing view to admire the life on the Nile. Staying on elephantine island gives you a different experience in Egypt.

I am from the Philippines🇵🇭 and it is without a doubt that this place made me feel home especially Mama Rawya and Baba Mahmoud. The room has the entire view of the nile and enjoyed a lot swimming here. It close to everything you need. They also have a boat that you can ride from the other bank to their place. They could arrange airport transfer as well which was 500 pounds. The hospitality is undeniably fantastic. They will inform what to do and where to go without harassing you to book with them. They always say “As you like.” Whatever you want to do as you like. I would love to be back here and stay in the same place. The place and the people definitely made my stay memorable. Shukran❤️🇵🇭

The location is on the island, away from all the traffic and people constantly trying to sell you something on the mainland. Niceley placed on the water, small island where you can literally walk anywhere, and a mere 1 minute walk from the ferry dock. Had a nice little rooftop, room had its own bathroom and air conditioner.

The location is ideal - quiet and relaxing but only one minute walk to the boat crossing, so travelling onto Abu Simbel etc. was easy. The team are great, friendly and attentive, and arranged a sunset felucca at short notice and packed lunch for day trips.

The young men were really nice. Although we couldn't find the remote control at first, they all came to help. They carried our luggage for us and also offered welcome drinks. When we met them on the balcony in the evening, they even invited us to have tea, repeatedly telling us it was free and we didn't need to worry. The $4 breakfast was excellent.

The property was in a great location on elephantine island. While the room, facilities and internet were great, the standout was the staff: Rawia and her son Shehab gave us all the time in the world, happily telling us about the Nubian people and history, answering all our questions both about Egypt and about elephantine island, and of course making sure we were always comfortable and happy. We loved the people and the property - everyone and everything was so sweet!

Perfect location on Elephantine Island next to the public ferry (running all day and all night if needed), river front with amazing views of Aswan. The staff are super helpful and helped booking everything we requested (Abu Simbel trip, sunset Feluca ride, early morning transfer to the airport), but never pushing for anything more than what we asked (which was surely refreshing in Egypt). Not once did they try to suggest extra services (tours, guides, private cars) for a higher rate, which we truly appreciated. They are also extremely friendly and cool; everything was hassle free. The nubian coffee they offered us was one of the best coffees I've ever had :) and points for the welcome drink in the terrace with wonderful views! Lastly thank you to Ali who booked everything for us, Shihab for being so cool and sending us to King Jamaica restaurant (where we went every single night) and Ramia for being so sweet!

I'd recommend adding mosquito nets over the beds in addition to the nets on the windows (already installed). Aswan has LOTS of mosquitoes.

This hotel was our favourite in the two weeks we spent travelling around Egypt, hands down. The staff were friendly, trustworthy, and were always working to keep the hotel clean and comfortable. The location on Elephantine Island is ideal, close to the ferry, and the terrace has a beautiful view of the Nile and Aswan. Definitely recommend staying here if you have the chance!

It has a fantastic view of the Nile river from the room balcony and you can just stare at the cruise ships, felucca boats crossing the river front all day long. Access to the hotel is from the jetty on main island and you need to do to Elephantine island. The staff is warm and welcoming and good breakfast was served

Best time we had in Egypt!! The location is perfect, far enough from the business of Aswan, but only a couple minutes away by public ferry shared with locals. The hotel is comfortable, the view on the Nile from the rooftop is spectacular day and night. The staff is the secret of the place, very friendly and welcoming, they know the history of Aswan, and gave us suggestions for sightseeing. Breakfast was also delicious, Nubian style. A special thank you to Mohammad who made our stay so special!
